Vivienne dialed her dad's number, feeling a mix of emotions. She loved her dad, but she couldn't help but think about her wicked stepmom and stepsister, who had caused her so much pain in the past.
"Hey, sweetie! How are you?" her dad asked, his voice warm and familiar.
"I'm doing okay, Dad. Just dealing with some stuff," Vivienne replied, trying to keep her emotions in check.
"I know things have been tough with your stepmom and stepsister. But I want you to know that I'm here for you, no matter what," her dad said, his voice filled with concern.
Vivienne appreciated her dad's support, but she knew that he was stuck in the middle of the situation. Her stepmom and stepsister had manipulated him into staying in the marriage, and Vivienne didn't want to put him in a difficult position.
