SMITH CARTER POV
I walked through the school hallways, trying to blend in while also standing out in my own way. As a seventh-grader, I'd finally found my footing, and I was determined to make the most of it.
In class, I loved being the one who always had a question or a comment. My favorite subject was science - there was something about the way the world worked that just fascinated me. I spent hours conducting experiments and researching new topics, always eager to learn more.
On the soccer field, I was a different person altogether. I loved the rush of adrenaline as I sprinted down the field, the thrill of scoring a goal and hearing my friends cheer me on. It was exhilarating, and it made all the hard work worth it.
