Me and my guildmates are now walking in a forest, our destination is the city of Ratienza. Earlier after I used the [Superior Teleportation] spell, our group spawned in a nearby forest of the city, west of our headquarters. If we go from our base to the city, it would take days just for us to reach it, so I decided to just use the teleportation spell.
After knowing the location, we proceeded to walk while also discussing the plan.
'Ant said he would assist Dracula in defending the base so he stayed... it's just the four of us now including myself.'
Ant, another member of our guild is also a powerful person when it comes to fighting. Although unfortunately, he can't go with us.
'A shame...'
"Euen, Fred, we are now approaching the road leading to the main gate of the city. We will do as we planned." I reminded Tyr and Serina, using the aliases they chosed.
"Understood, guild leader." They replied.
"You too, Hero. I'll call you Whitebrim since we need to hide our identity now that we know players from the game are also here."
'Not that he needs it while being in the form of a sword...'
Hero gave a slight shake, a sign that he understood me.
A moment later, we took our last step out of the forest.
The sun is shining brightly in the sky.
'It's morning now huh.'
We took the road leading to the city.
...
"Hey, look. People are looking at us." Serina said.
I glanced around and saw people looking at our group. Farmers and those that are heading to the city alike are glancing at us.
'What is it? Is it because of our outfit?' I wondered.
Though my armor is in god-tier, I made sure to mask its presence so that when you look at it, you can see it as a legend-tier item. If I don't, I doubt players will recognize the armor. It is the same for Tyr and Serina too, they masked their items tier.
'Is the legend tier in here a rarity?' I thought to myself.
Soon we arrived at the city gate. Although the waiting line is long, the security is rather lax so people can get in easily with no problem.
"Halt!" The guards stopped us when we neared the gate. I can see them trembling though.
Soon a man walked towards us.
"S-sir, your ID please." The guard spoke.
'Hmm, I didn't see this coming... Is the ID used to verify the citizens' profile?' I didn't think of this, I thought they would let us in without asking for anything, but that's according to Julian's memories.
It seems to me whenever those commoners are going into the city, they will need ID to get in, Julian is an emperor so he doesn't need those kinds of things...
'This is a problem...'
"The ID... we don't have it," I said. Maybe they will instruct us on how to get one if we don't have one...
"B-but-"
"Enough, I'll take it from here" Another man came up cutting the guard off.
"Sir Rory...! O-okay, we'll go back now." The guards scurried back to their post.
I wonder who this is.
...
Earlier...
The guards are going on their day as usual. Letting the people in and out of the city. The security is not as tight as it would be, though you can't say the same about the other places on the continent.
Rory is in his office trying to finish his paperwork as usual when he feels an aura that should not appear in their city.
'This is... legend-tier! Who is it? Is it the kingdom corps?' Rory wondered. Only people in the corps is at these level in the kingdom. Is it them?
'I should check just in case...'
Rory stands up and leaves the room, wondering if it's appropriate for the corps to go in the city unannounced. Even the city mayor didn't tell him. Or is the mayor unaware too?
