Hero just shuts his mouth and slaps Simon once again. "That slap is for taking yourself in danger. You almost died you dumb shit!" He then stood up and walked away leaving Simon behind.
Simon clenches his fist after what Hero has said. He is disgusted by himself. If it weren't for Hero, he would have probably died right now. He shook his head and helped himself stand up and went to their room to sleep.
Simon woke up because of Hero and Peitho's voice. He slowly opens his eyes and looks at the siblings arguing about something. When Peitho saw Simon that he is finally awake she immediately ran towards him and choked him. "You dumb! The people here are blaming us now because of you!"
"W-wait, what are you talking about!? C-can you stop choking me!" Peitho stops what she did to him and glares at Simon. "What the hell happened?"
"Do I need to punch and slap you so you can remember what you did last night?" Simon shut up after remembering how he saw the monster close up. His body shivers and trembles in fear remembering the face of the monster.
"That monster, I don't want to see him again! He's scaring me as hell! I could really feel the god of death by my side after seeing him up close!"
"Oh, It must be good if I was thanking the god of death by now. You're giving us a headache!" Simon glared at Peitho and wanted to fight her but he decided not to.
"How dare a kid scold me like that."
"I am not a kid! I will become eighteen this month, you know!"
"Yeah, whatever."
The two just keep on arguing until Hero had enough of them both. He smacked their heads causing the two to stop what they were doing and look at Hero who was glaring at them causing them to shut their mouths. "Let us head to the dining area now and eat. Sir Pancho must be waiting for us to go there. It is already eight in the morning."
"Eight? It is too early to eat breakfast, man!" Hero just glares at him causing him to immediately get up. "Fine, I will just get up and will follow you, okay?" Hero left him in the room and Peitho followed him. "Geez, these two siblings are really something!"
They are now at the dining area and most of the people are now looking at them. "Have you all already heard the news?" Sir Pancho was the one who was asking them.
"What news?"
"There were two bodies hanging on a pole, and they were dead after the monsters had eaten their bodies. What's more, all of us are sure that someone intentionally hung their bodies. Some people in this city are pointing at the three of you. Some people saw the three of you before Kalvin could take you here."
Simon and Peitho just look at each other and then turn their heads to look at Hero. "We were the ones who hung their bodies," Hero honestly said. Kalvin claps his hands and taps Hero's shoulder.
"You are very good! Those shitty deserve to die anyway for killing such innocent people!" Hero raises his eyebrows after hearing it but Sir Pancho smacks Kalvin's head causing him to groan in pain.
"Killing innocent people?" One man steps forward holding a pot of rice and places it on the table.
"The other two groups are killing people just for fun and to make people afraid of them. Those two groups were battling against territories and people." Hero was even more confused when the man told him about people. "They are competing to take a person with awakened abilities by eating the purple gems to let them stay in their groups. The more the group had many awakened people, they became the strongest group in this city and people would beg them to ask for protection. Because of that, they will take advantage of the situation when the she monster wakes up."
"So you all know about when Val— the she monster will go wake up?" The man nodded in response.
"Yes, there is a message that we received a few weeks ago and some of us believed it. For safety precautions, we help ourselves and our hideout to become prepared for what will come in the future."
Hero thought about it, what happened in his past life really changed. He is worried that there might be a lot of stronger monsters that will show up in the future. In his past life, Hero and his friends weren't able to meet the Monster Queen but they all know about her whereabouts. However, kilometers away from the Monster Queen, a swarm of monsters was attacking them causing them death.
Hero lets out a sigh and speaks. "When will the she monster wake up?"
"It will be two weeks from now." Hero were staring at the food in front of him, thinking what will he gonna do and what would be his plans to prepare before Valerie woke up. But there is something that is not connected here. There is something he senses, what could it be?
"Eat your food, don't think much about it. Everything will be fine." Hero looks at him and just slowly nods his head. "Young people must not stress about such problems that oldies like me should be."
He just eat his food that sir Pancho prepares for him and didn't bother to reply to his statement. 'As if I'll just sit here and relax. There is something big problem that I need to prepare in the future than this.'
