When Ira opened the door, she was surprised to not see any guards surrounding the Emperor. Especially due to his ill state.
It might be due to the Emperor's stubbornness that he can only protect himself.
Or that he is more than capable to kill anyone, even if he's like this.
Even so, the poison should work in under ten minutes after he digests it.
Ira gets closer to the Emperor to get a closer look at him. His face is pale but it was a face she remembered well.
Ira placed the soup down beside the Emperor as she tried waking him up.
"Your majesty, the food is here-"
