With her fingers painted in a rosy red, Catherine swiped across the screen and finally landed on Bertram's name. After calming her emotions, she dialed Bertram's number and said sweetly, "Long time no see!"
"Catherine?"
Bertram was surprised to receive her call, given that they hadn't been in touch since their last collaboration to frame Clarisse. Catherine avoided contacting Bertram because she feared he might bring up the compromising photos, while Bertram had avoided her, considering her no longer useful, especially since Jonathan hadn't ended up with Catherine after his divorce from Clarisse.
Without wasting any time, Catherine cut straight to the point, "I don't know if you're aware, but Jonathan's ex-wife isn't dead."
