Fortunately, Jonathan wasn't hurt.
He pulled out his phone, ready to call someone to deal with the wreck, but before he could dial, his phone buzzed—Louis was calling.
With a scowl, he answered, only to hear that annoyingly familiar voice laced with sarcasm.
"Jonathan, I'm honestly embarrassed to say I know you. How the hell did you manage to crash such a high-performance car into a concrete divider?"
Jonathan felt his liver twitch from the mockery. Why did Louis always show up whenever he was at his lowest? Was this some kind of karmic curse?
What was he supposed to say? That he got into the accident because of a phone call that completely pissed him off? He had called with genuine intentions, ready to apologize sincerely. But not only did she refuse to listen, she even hit him back with that icy, emotionless tone. He should've known better.
