Clarisse ended the call with Jonathan, feeling exasperated. He was acting more clingy than a child—Josie and Agente were never like this with her.
After hanging up, she called Samantha, who had been a nurse and understood her situation well. Samantha agreed to pick up the kids and reminded Clarisse to rest appropriately during her shift.
Once the kids were settled, Clarisse had dinner with another colleague in the cafeteria and then returned to the department.
