Jonathan gently pushed the door open and walked in. He leaned against the door, watching her tenderly as she held the two children, putting them to sleep. His eyes were full of affection. He walked over and gently kissed the three of them. He used to think that wishing time could stop at this moment was overly sentimental, but now, at this very moment, he sincerely wished for it.
His lips lingered on her cheek for a moment, then moved to her slightly parted red lips, leaving a light kiss before he stood up, pulled the blanket over them, and quietly walked out, closing the door behind him.
Clarisse slept until evening before she finally woke up. She had been exhausted from packing all afternoon and night yesterday, so she slept deeply and couldn't wake up. When she awoke, Agente and Josie were no longer beside her. Startled, she threw off the blanket and rushed out, only to see Agente and Josie playing in the living room.
