My pulse quickened as I watched him drive away then I turned and walked towards my car. My heart nearly stopped when I saw Harry standing by the car, with a blank expression. The evening sun cast long shadows across the parking lot, giving the scene an eerie quality. I approached cautiously, my steps faltering.
"H-Harry?" I stuttered "What are you doing here?"
I wasn't expecting to see him and certainly not like this. Harry's face gave nothing away. Did he see me hugging Sebastian? I wondered. He just stood there, arms crossed, his gaze fixed on me with an unsettling intensity.
His eyes which were always filled with warmth whenever he saw me were devoid of their usual warmth. Without answering, he stepped forward, his boots scraping against the gavel.
"Key," he commanded in a brusque tone "Give me your keys."
