Bai Liu let out a frustrated grunt and give up the idea of arguing with the system. He put all the small meat buns that as small as a 5 yrs old child's fist, to the wooden bowl he found and wrapped all the silvers in the clothes he just got them hide it inside the box. He put the box to the closet in the bedroom.
The clothes he received was a one-piece plain blue hanfu that was made of low quality cotton, the style was just like what people in ancient era used to wear. The size were just right as if it was made especially for him.
He picked up the small knife that he get and step outside to start cutting the grass. The knife's blade was about 5-6 cm long and the handle was made of a black wood, it's edge look sharp enough, so Bai Liu think it might not that hard to cut the grass.
Bai Liu rolled up his sleeves up to his elbow and take a deep breath, "Okay! Time to start the work! I can do this!" He said encouraging himself and went out.
Bai Liu start cutting the grass with a enthusiastic energy and vigorously cut all the grass near the doorstep. After almost an hour of cutting, Bai Liu's positive energy start to fade as he start to feel tired and hungry, and he only managed to cut down the front. Bai Liu looked to each side of the courtyard that was still covered in outgrown tall grasses and feel all his enthusiasm fade away.
He's back and forehead was full of sweat and because of the high temperature, Bai Liu can already smell his own body. He was sweating, exhausted and most of all, he was starving. He never get to eat anything since he came to this world and the original Bai Liuzhen probably haven't eaten yet. He was hesitant to eat the meat buns he just got since it's the only food he currently have.
He looked back inside the broken cabin and touch his stomach that was starting to scream in hunger, "maybe just a small bite?" He took a step but then step back, "No, those meat buns are so small I might eat it all after taking a bite." He said while shaking his head.
He was still debating with himself wether he should eat one or not, then the system can no longer endure seeing it's host taking a step then stepping back multiple times, then when Bai Liu picked up his knife again and was about to start cutting the grass again to forget his hunger, the system finally speak.
[Host, why don't you just eat one meat bun? There's four of them anyway. You will collapse because of exhaustion and hunger if you don't eat.]
Bai Liu's hand paused and look at the system and said with an exhausted voice, "If you don't remember, I have to survive for seven days in here and that four buns is the only food I have. If I ate one every time I get exhausted and hungry wouldn't be finished in one day?" He said.
[Host, after you finished cutting all the grass surrounding the courtyard you will obtained 10 pisces of potatoes anyway, then you don't have to worry for food for the next day.]
Bai Liu straighten up his back and point at the remaining grass he still have to cut, " Can't you see all of those tall grasses there? Do you think I can finish that all in one day? There's even the back!" He shout and grab some grass and angrily cut them.
