Long ago when the earth was young, there existed a city in the heart of a land once glorious, famed, and fortunate. Known the world over for its palaces ladened in gold, exquiste wood draped in musk, and exotic beauty of it's people the city glowed like a star on a lonely night. People far and wide had heard of it's name and awed in envy of it's fame. But this land once renowned the world over fell victim to rape, pillage, and pain. They came in groups, attacked in hordes, destroyed everything in their sight, all while the people lay helpless and forsaken completely unable to fight. These barbarians killed and maimed all that they saw flowing the rivers with blood, the women and children cried and screamed as they saw the bodies of their men thrown all over the city like a human flood. By the time they were done these barbarians had killed so much that the blood on their hands froze and they were unable to have their swords from their palms undone. This land once known far and wide was lost forever, only hope could restore it now, hope and a man of god pious and brave.
