Chereads / Madly In Love With You. / Chapter 20 - Am I Crazy?

Chapter 20 - Am I Crazy?

The next day. The sky above Argent began to turn gray. Val received a visitor in apartment.

"Crash!"

Objects fell from the table. The room becomes a mess.

"Vi, stop" Val tried to dodge as Violet began to kiss his lips, the girl came and pushed Val until he fell onto his bed. Violet firmly held Val's hands, restraining him from leaving. Although Violet's kisses were so gentle, hot, and full of desire, she did not let Val have a chance to escape. Val tried to push Violet away from him.

"Vi!"

A minute ago, Violet suddenly entered his room and behaved aggressively towards him.

"Why, Val, why don't you like my kisses? I've learned from outside, that these kinds of kisses are so popular among the youth there, I tried to be gentle enough, right?"

"Don't act like a madwoman, do you realize what you're doing right now? All this, it can ruin our relationship" Val's voice was loud as he tried to release Violet's grip, pushing her away from him. Violet looked at Val sharply.

Val brushed his lips. Both breath heavily. Time and again, Val had to see the faces of someone he knew looking at him as if he were their favorite food.

"I'm crazy? Do you think what makes me become this way, Val? We've known each other for a long time now, but you've never wanted to see me like the way I see you. What are we? What am I to you!"

"Vi, heh" Val didn't say much, after taking a deep breath, he got up from the bed and quickly headed to the door, leaving Violet still frozen in her place. Val stopped briefly at the door, gripping tightly on anything that he could reach to stop him from falling, at least not in front of that girl.

Violet seemed to deeply regret her behavior and words, she lowered her body and sat on her bed. She was drunk, and her mind was not clear at the moment, but one thing she was very aware of that, she liked Val more than anything.

After a moment, unable to hold back her tears, Violet finally got up and went out of the room, passing by Val, and took her bag from the table. With all her mind messed up, Violet left the room without a word.

Val looked out the window, there was big heavy pouring rain outside now. The girl couldn't possibly go out like that, right? But he knows how Violet was. The girl quickly disappeared after exiting the apartment. Even though Val was exhausted and almost out of breath, he couldn't let the girl out now.

"Vi," after catching his breath, Val follow her out. He pressed the button of another spare elevator to chase Violet who already get inside ahead of him.

Val ran out of the elevator, Violet just left the building and walk in the rain, as what he could guess from the girl. She is so stubborn. Without hesitation, disregarding the heavy rain, Val chased after Violet outside.

"Vi, stop!" Val managed to chase Violet and hold her hand to stop her.

Violet pulled her hand away.

"Let me go."

Val had no choice but to follow her, and they were both soaked by the pouring rain.

"Calm down, where are you going in this rain?"

Violet pulled her hand, didn't let Val to hold it, then turned and pushed him.

"Why do you care? I'm just a crazy, wretched girl. Why bother trying to convince me when you don't even care about me? Have you forgotten how I've always been the one who cared for you? Why can't you at least be kind to me, considering how long we've known each other!"

Val stammered. His lips goes numb, both from the chill and don't know what words to say.

"Vi, you know, I can't force this."

"Then why are you here now? Do you want to show off how good a person Valiant is, who doesn't let anyone enter his world? Are you deliberately being so kind and gentle to make everyone fall for you, while you don't even care about our feelings?"

Val blinked as the rain soaked his entire body, watching the girl who now stared at him intently. She was crying, though the rainwater immediately washed away her tears, Val still can see those eyes in tears. Val stepped back, holding his chest and walking unsteadily, leaning on a nearby lamppost to keep from falling.

Violet gasped for breath, his chest hurt, getting more harder to breath. "Forgive me," he whispered. Violet stood on her place, watching Val turn his back and walk away. She wipe her tears and ran towards the main road, still lashed by heavy rain that had flooded parts of the street.

....

Jason checked his watch. It was past noon. The meeting, which should have finished hours ago, had run over because of numerous issues. The sky was dark, and the rain fell harder as midday approached. He'd been looking forward to taking Val out today. He glanced at his phone; Val hadn't replied to his last message. What was he up to?

"Have you eaten? Don't eat instant noodles again, you'll get a stomachache," he texted Val. He put his phone on the desk, tidied his laptop, grabbed his bag, and shoved it inside.

He frowned. Was Val fallen asleep?

He glanced at his phone again. Val hadn't even read his message, better just to call him. The office was deserted; he was the only one left there. The security guard helped him close the door as he left.

Finally, after a few rings, Val picked up his call.

"Hey, you asleep?" Jason asked.

He stepped into the elevator. There was no answer from Val.

"Val?"

After waiting silently, Val finally answered.

"Boss, heh, my head… it hurts," Val's voice was weak and hoarse. Jason's eyes widened. The elevator doors opened on the ground floor. Without a second thought, he ran towards the exit.

"Val, what's wrong? Wait, I'm coming home now."

Ninoot.

Jason burst into the apartment and rushed to Val's room.

"Val!" he shouted, finding the young man lying on the floor.

He gently supported Val's head.

"Hey, what happened? Why are you soaking wet? You're burning up! Can you get up?" Jason tried to help Val sit up, but the young man collapsed into his arms. Val was drenched, his face pale. Jason patted Val's cheek; his eyes were squeezed shut.

"Hey, kid, let's get you to the hospital."
