As Isaac announced the first bid starting price, anticipation and excitement washed through crowds. A few sighed in defeat as they didn't possess the financial wealth to participate in the auction. Meanwhile, others were eager.
However, just a few seconds after Mr Isaac spoke, a booming voice filled the room, saying,
"1,000 dollars."
The room fell into a stunned silence, everyone's lips sealed in shock and astonishment. Even Isaac, who was on stage, couldn't hide his bewilderment.
They all turned their attention to the direction of the voice, immediately fixing their eyes on a man seated in the middle chair in the middle row with his right hand raised in the air.
Then murmurs rippled through the attendees as they tried to process what had happened. The bid had set an entirely different tone for the auction. Some attendees preparing to bid looked surprised, others intrigued, and a few even seemed intimidated by the sudden show of wealth.
