Zion
It wasn't my intention to plot against Hayley, but it had become unavoidable. It was impossible to ignore her now that she had a threat to the throne and my very existence. I needed her gone, and I needed it to be done quickly, especially before she could get introduced to the people.
It wasn't because I was afraid that the people would prefer her over me, in fact I was confident that they wouldn't vote for her. She was a woman, and not only that, she had been a slave, and was currently mated to a man whose presence alone was a threat to our pack. I was doing this because I knew Hayley was as persistent as a cockroach, she wasn't the feeble old maid who worked here a few months ago.
