Chapter 106 - Chapter 106: The Resurrected Loyal Three and an Unexpected Helper

"What is this?" Carmine was like a volcano about to erupt, and then she exploded.

"Ogerpon is so pitiful!! The Loyal Three are so hateful!! Isn't this completely opposite of the legend?!"

She waved her arms angrily, now wanting to run to the statues and directly overturn their graves.

"Ugh, I can't stand it. I must make the villagers see reason. Worshiping these things, can they really accept it?!"

"Indeed, losing a loved one and being misunderstood all this time is truly sad," Perrin said, lowering her head.

"Right, so Grandpa, why did you keep this hidden all along? Don't you sympathize with Ogerpon?!" Carmine asked, glaring at her grandfather.

At this moment, Summer said, "You can't blame your grandfather for this, Carmine."

"Aren't you the one who should be the most angry, Summer? You saw Ogerpon with your own eyes, didn't you?" Carmine looked confused.

"People believe the history they know. What would happen if we told the villagers, who have always revered the Loyal Three, the truth?" Summer said, suppressing his anger.

The Loyal Three have already become a part of the local economy. Even if everyone knew the truth, it would only bring a long-overdue apology, while the false legend would remain unchanged.

"It's frustrating, isn't it?" Kieran raised his head. The ogre wasn't alone; it had its precious partner. What about me?

"Yeah, our ancestor, the mask maker, risked his life trying to tell the truth but was persecuted by the villagers, labeled as a heretic."

"To protect his descendants and ensure the truth wasn't buried, he chose to secretly pass it down," Grandpa explained, looking helpless.

After Grandpa explained, everyone fell silent for a long time before Summer finally spoke:

"I want to retrieve the masks that belong to Ogerpon, which are enshrined in the Kitakami Hall. Even so, I also want the villagers to understand the truth. The mistakes cannot continue."

Boom! A violent explosion seemed to occur near the village, and everyone turned to the direction of the sound.

"That direction... Loyalty Plaza?!" Kieran exclaimed.

"Loyalty Plaza, isn't that where the hateful Loyal Three are buried?!" Carmine shouted.

"Anyway, let's go and check it out!"

After speaking, Summer ran towards Loyalty Plaza, quickly leaving the others behind.

At Loyalty Plaza, the area where the statues once stood was now in ruins. Only a man clearing weeds was left.

"Uncle! What happened here?!" Summer asked, shaking the stunned man.

"Oh, the Loyal Three have been resurrected."

"What? Resurrected? Just like that?!"

"No, no, a man in a black coat was mumbling something in front of the statues, then suddenly there was an explosion, and the Loyal Three came back to life." Shouted at by Summer, the man quickly came back to his senses.

"It's him! And the resurrected Loyal Three... This is bad, I must find Ogerpon immediately!" Summer, understanding the situation, quickly headed towards the Dreaded Den.

The first thing those vicious Loyal Three would do after waking up would be to seek revenge on Ogerpon. And the current Ogerpon seemed to have lost its original power!

"Summer, what's going on? Why did you come back?" Kieran asked in confusion when he saw Summer running towards them.

"The Loyal Three have resurrected. We need to go to the Dreaded Den, Ogerpon is in danger!"

Briefly explaining, Summer continued running towards Oni Mountain, leaving the shocked group behind.

The Loyal Three that were long dead have been resurrected; how could such a thing happen?

At the Kitakami Hall, the caretaker and some vendors were chatting happily. Summer just took a glance and quickly left, not wasting any time.

About ten minutes later, Kieran and the others arrived at the Kitakami Hall. As soon as she saw the caretaker, Carmine rushed over and shouted:

"Uncle, did you see the three Loyal Three?!"

"Three? Shouldn't it be three treasure lords?" The caretaker said seriously.

"Ugh, never mind that, did they come by?!"

"Oh yes, they did. It seemed they wanted to take back the sparkling masks kept here."

"And then?!" Carmine pursued.

"Then we respectfully handed the masks to them and treated them to a lot of Kitakami rice cakes." The caretaker said with a grin.

"Damn it, this is infuriating!" Carmine felt like punching the old man in front of her.

"Sis, never mind that now. We need to find Summer." Kieran said, feeling uneasy as he thought about Summer's words that Ogerpon was in danger.

"Summer... if it's you," Perrin looked towards Oni Mountain and murmured.

Meanwhile, in front of the Dreaded Den, a man in a black coat was fiddling with a green mask, sneering:

"I thought the last mask would be special. Hmph, it's just a mask embedded with crystals, not worth much at all."

"The ogre is also much weaker than I imagined. The so-called soul devouring, don't make me laugh."

"But these three Pokémon are quite interesting. They seem to be worth a lot."

The man watched as Ogerpon, lying on the ground clutching its head, trembled. The three Loyal Three surrounded it, growling viciously.

The Loyal Three, awakened by the man, were unleashing their malice. The once terrifying ogre had become so weak, it was exhilarating. We'll have our revenge now.

"Grr..."

Ogerpon made a helpless sound. The last mask was also taken. Was last night's encounter the final piece of happiness left for me?

"Albert!"

Seeing all this, Summer roared, his eyes cold and devoid of mercy.

"Oh, I like that look. It reminds me of an acquaintance, hahaha~" Albert turned around, showing no panic as he faced the angry Summer, confident in his strength.

"Return the mask to Ogerpon!"

"Ogerpon, oh, that's its name, huh? So, this worthless mask is important to it?" Albert chuckled and threw the mask to one of the Loyal Three.

"Keep it safe. Don't you like it a lot?"

The three Loyal Three, Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti, looked at the mask on the ground, then at each other, and began attacking each other. This mask belongs to me!

"Ha, fighting over benefits, I love it. The winner will be mine." Albert wasn't surprised but rather delighted.

"Please, Rillaboom."

Rillaboom appeared beside Summer, showing an angry expression at seeing Ogerpon bullied. It wouldn't show mercy to those who bullied its friend.

"One Pokémon, hahaha, don't make me laugh, huh..." Albert's laughter suddenly stopped.

A sharp cry echoed from the sky, a strong storm blew the Loyal Three away from Ogerpon, and a young man wearing a ghost mask landed beside Ogerpon on a Corviknight.

"Don't worry, Ogerpon, we're here," the young man said in a deep voice.

Ogerpon looked up at the young man in the ghost mask. This familiar feeling, was it the big brother from yesterday? But wasn't he not there, two big brothers?
