Although Corviknight deliberately put on a cold expression, Summer knew it was the same Corviknight that was usually indifferent but incredibly reliable in critical moments.
"Awesome, I was worried the battle wouldn't be exciting enough. Nosy guy, state your name."
Albert remained composed and didn't realize the masked person and Summer were the same person.
"I'm just an ordinary member of the Ogre Clan passing by. Remember that." His voice was very low and sounded quite deep.
"Oh, with that group of trainers who play make-believe with kids? Haha, they certainly have an excess of compassion."
The masked person said nothing more and protected the eerie-looking Ogerpon behind him, then took out two Poké Balls from his waist and threw them out.
The elegant Milotic exuded a queen's dominance, and the noble Lilligant held up her long skirt, her eyes lacking their usual kindness.
Albert turned to look at Summer. With one more, it's still my advantage. He then took off two Poké Balls from his waist and smiled:
"What a pity, I have five Pokémon on my side. Go, Gholdengo and Hydreigon!"
The Gholdengo, composed entirely of gold coins, and the ferocious Hydreigon appeared in front of Albert. These were his two favorite Pokémon, one symbolizing wealth and the other symbolizing endless greed.
Albert was the kind of villain who acted for money. His current actions had nothing to do with his original commission, but the thought of extra income made him act instinctively.
It was this twisted greed that awakened the equally greedy Loyal Three. They were a group of like-minded scoundrels.
"Is that so? But it seems your companions don't want to fight for you."
Summer pointed behind Albert. The intelligent Loyal Three saw Milotic and instantly concluded that if it didn't run, it would be beaten to death and buried again.
Since it had already obtained a mask, it barked a warning to the other two Pokémon and then fled without looking back.
"What the… hey! But I woke you up from your slumber, and you're abandoning me? We clearly have the advantage!" Albert's face darkened. In an instant, his advantage turned into a disadvantage.
"Hydreigon, use Draco Meteor!"
Albert wasn't stupid. When he realized he had almost no chance of winning and wouldn't gain any benefits, he immediately thought of escaping. In a way, he and Loyal Three were similar types.
Hydreigon gathered terrifying energy in its mouth and shot it into the sky. Countless purple meteors fell from the sky. Albert leaped onto Hydreigon's back and pulled out a black spherical object from his pocket.
The meteors struck the ground, causing massive explosions. Corviknight spread its wings to shield the masked person and Ogerpon. Since Summer was farther from the explosions, he yelled out despite the danger:
"No way I'm letting you escape. Rillaboom, use Drum Beating!"
Intense drumming accompanied by thick vines erupted from the ground, binding the Hydreigon trying to fly, rendering it immobile.
Albert smirked. Fool, this is already the fourth Hydreigon I've abandoned. My true savior is Gholdengo!
A brilliant light burst from his pocket. Albert threw the glowing orb onto the Gholdengo, which created a skateboard from coins. Azure crystals enveloped it and shattered, covering its entire body. Three shining balloons appeared on its head.
This was Terastallization, a special phenomenon in Paldea. By using a Tera Orb, a Pokémon's type could be changed, and Gholdengo, now with flying-type balloons, could soar through the sky.
"You might win this time, but just wait until I get stronger Pokémon from the organization! You…" But the next scene made Albert's eyes widen in shock, causing him to shout:
"How could anyone use Ice Beam on a steel-type Gholdengo!?"
Milotic, emanating a brilliant white light, exhaled an extreme cold breath. With Lilligant's Helping Hand, its Ice Beam instantly froze the floating Gholdengo.
"Hydreigon, use Flamethrower to melt this ice! Why are you hesitating, you coward!?"
Albert concluded that Milotic intended to attack Hydreigon but missed. He pinned his hopes on Hydreigon, but it was trembling, too scared to attack. Was the mere aftermath enough to terrify it?
Damn it, you're the worst Hydreigon I've ever trained!
Hydreigon wanted to move, but the terrifying aura Milotic emitted suppressed it, rendering it unable to control its body and wanting to give up resistance.
"Hahaha, I've lost."
Albert jumped off Hydreigon, raised his hands, and feigned surrender while eyeing Ogerpon. Both Summer and the masked person valued this Pokémon highly. If he could control it, he still had hope… Ugh!
Albert was met not with hope but with the masked person's fist. A full-force punch, filled with anger, landed heavily on his face. Warm blood gushed from his nose, and excruciating pain spread throughout his body.
His head spun, vision darkened, and a sharp pain at the back of his neck knocked him unconscious. He collapsed to the ground.
Witnessing this, Summer could only think, well done, me!
"Don't worry, I've checked. This guy is a wanted criminal." The masked person said in a deep voice. He then hoisted the unconscious Albert onto his shoulder and recalled his Pokémon.
"I'll take him to the police station. In five days, we'll switch shifts."
"Hmm, and after that…" Summer nodded. Although his second meeting with this guy revealed he was a jerk, he didn't expect him to be a wanted criminal.
"One should make their own choices, don't you think, me?"
"Yes, using foresight to deal with bad guys is enough," Summer agreed.
The masked person recalled his two Pokémon and mounted Corviknight. He looked at Ogerpon, who was holding a mask and looking at him with admiration. He slowly removed his mask and smiled at it.
Ogerpon's eyes sparkled with excitement. It was indeed Big Brother who saved me. Yes, it was Big Brother!
