Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Chimera Vs Kraken.

A battle of Immortal beasts was one a mortal much less a human should be caught in between but that was the harsh reality of Valmus who stood before a clash of Titans.

He was however not purely focused on the fight perse, he had half the mind to watch and another to loot the various carcasses of their bones and internals.

Most of the dead beasts were immortals beasts, their vitality should not be underestimated as even in death their blood is still warm and their flesh takes close to five decades before they begin to rot.

Valmus looted one colossal skull that seemed to be as large as mount everest it's openings clogged up by the bones of other smaller monstrosities.

He took it as it was and begun to fill it with gallons of blood from the various dead giants that scattered all over the shore.

Aside from that however he was also paying close attention to the fight of the two clashing Titans, their attack patterns and styles, their faulty mistakes if any and the scale of their mind numbing attacks and powers.

He watched with a feverous gaze not daring to look away because he knew, at the very depths of his heart, soul and mind that to leave whatever bubble he was in he would have to fight these monstrosities and other even more terrifying than them.

So he watched trying to pry into whatever secrets he could but all he saw was a hollow depth that truly seemed to be an abyss. The attacks were ferocious yes, but they had a deadly blend of honed skill and instinct.

Just as he was lost in though something changed in the battle he was spectating, for the first time in what seemed to be hundreds of exchanges the Chimera's blood was drawn by the kraken.

M''oeiri arm which had been sliced off by a pressurized jet of water immediately grew back from the bleeding stump that was it's shoulder.

The chimera roared as it's blood lust rolled in waves it let out a screech immediately aftwr combining the two sound into what became a sonic pulse that ruptured the fore flesh of the Kraken but the Chimera wasn't done.

It suddenly abandoned the land and leapt at the kraken, with its maw it bit of its tentacles while pinning down the kraken with one of its paws.

It's other paw yanked out three tentacles simultaneously as it bit i to another and another over and over again to the point where the Krakens regeneration slowed overwhelmed by the excessive damage it received.

The Chimera roared as it squarely nit the kraken on its abdomen yanking out two of its several hearts and spitting them out as of disgusted by its taste.

It continued to violate the kraken until only a single heart remained, only then did the Chimera stop as the heavens thundered followed by a tribulation of thunder that acknowledged the Chimeras win.

Valmus sighed tiredly, he had hoped that maybe the kraken would win and he would be able to convinently flee but alas it would seem he would remain being the chimera's fattened cattle.

He however didn't fail to store the various high grade hearts and tentacles that were being thrown all over the place, he knew far too well that any part of a beasts body was extremely valuable more so beasts with monickers like Immortal beast.

After the hail of thunder decreased the Chimera seemed to have become even more majestic, its paw still pinned the kraken beneath it as that didn't even flinch in the slightest.

"Are you satisfied? Now get off me you brute!" The kraken complained, it's single eye staring at the chimera with resentment.

The chimera surprisingly didn't act up and stepped back and remained silent as it waited for the kraken to finish regenerating everything, after an hour or so the mutilated one eyed kraken stood on it's tentacles once more.

It slapped the waters behind it with one tentacle before yanking something out and holding it within its grasp, the kraken sighed before tossing an unamusing stone towards the chimera who caught it with its maw.

"There's only three of those left in this entire haven, do truly wish to challenge those of the Divine ancestry?" Ursala questioned her tone eerily serious as if the chimeras answer would also decide her fate.

"Be they Gods, Titans or Primordials, I've already marked then all for death." The Chimera bellowed it's voice laced with unbridled wrath.

"But you've yet to even become a Beast God, it's been a millennia since she died old friend. Haven't you grieved enough?" Ursala pressed, she was sure that this was a suicide mission. Most beasts weren't attached to their mates like M''oieri was with his she could see it all so clearly he was putting his all into this gambit win or loose, survive or die.

"I know I'm yet to become Divine, that's not because I'm untalented, I'm extremely gifted and we both know that. I've not ascended simply because I don't want to, why would I become that which stole my beloved? Besides even if I'm not Divine I'm more than capable of killing the Divine, plus I'm being Supported by HIM." He explained while also revealing his backing to her.

Ursala's eye shrunk into pinholes, whenever any existed stressed upon him most would instinctively know who was being talked about after all it was on He who was daring enough to fight primordials to a draw despite being outnumbered.

"Are you sure about that?"

"Very, so this may as well be out final goodbye old friend. Win or loose don't even dream of avenging me, understood?" The Chimera asked but its question was less of a querie and more of a request, he couldn't order his friend he could only request and hope her emotions wouldn't cloud her judgement like his.

The Chimera picked up his dessert and tossed it at his friend who had yet to speak after his foreboding request.

"Could you grant him the ability to breathe underwater, after that take him to the deepest part of the ocean while healing him over and over again until his body stops creaking when under the pressure of battle." He requested once more as he sat down and rested his head on his paws and closed his eyes.

Valmus smiled thinly and awkwardly at the kraken who a few hours ago was nearly killed and was now being used as an errand girl, lady perhaps?

"I hope you can keep your smile after this, the depths of the Ocean may corrupt you if your unlucky." Ursula sneered as a drop of her blood if it could be called that fell onto him and fully encased him.

A few seconds later the blood was absorbed into his body, before he could even speak he was slapped with enough force to kill a herd of mammoths dozens of times over.

He shot into the oceans with so much force one that he left behind a clear line of vacuum that was hurriedly filled by the mass of waters.

Valmus could feel his body break intricately, he could feel every minuscule of pain as his flesh turned to mist, his bones ground to dust and his internals destroyed.

It was so brutal that for a while fifteen hours he sank without a body as only his silver gold soul remained as it twinkled in and out of existence in an ethereal grace.

But his soul wasn't having it any easier, it under went it's own forms of torture but they were minuscule since his soul was strong.

After around a month of descent Valmus finally reached the bottom of the ocean, the pressure was beyond extreme but his current vessel was also at an extreme of it's own.

He was currently seated in a lotus position at the bottom of the ocean, the waters were so dense that at some point in time they had turned into ice , much deeper there was a point where the ice turned into air and far lower air into water.

The current Valmus could comfortably walk under the immense pressure, he could also jump, jog, run and even practice his martial arts.

Valmus exhaled sharply, the current him was confident in surviving the anomaly that was the bubble he was in....to some extent that is.
