Zarniya was merrily having breakfast; this was the second time she had a meal in bed. Messiah had slept with her again, and she was starting to get used to waking up in his arms early in the morning. Sleeping with him at night, where he would look at her as if she were the greatest thing that had ever happened in his life, was delightful.
At least, Zarniya liked to think he saw and thought of her that way.
Messiah was eating with her, and he was giving her more portions than he usually did.
Not that Zarniya protested, she liked to eat more than the serving maids gave to her, but she was too shy for more. But since Messiah came, she had been eating to her heart's content.
No one was scolding her for wanting more than she should.
"The weather outside is good, we should walk around the garden and get fresh air," he said and put another sunny-side-up egg on her plate.
