Chapter 59 - Bad Seed

Holly struggled again, but Leila's strength seemed endless. Every time she tried to break free, Leila pushed her arm higher and twisted it more, making the pain worse. It was frustrating. 

"Who are you to educate me?" Holly said through gritted teeth. "You are just a village girl who was unwanted and abandoned. If you did not have our family, you would have long been dead or sold as a slave or child bride."

Leila's eyes darkened with anger. She had moved on from the insecurities of her childhood, but she still did not like to think of what could have happened to her if she did not end up with her loving grandparents. 

She knew a lot of orphan children who grew up in the worst conditions in the world. Their lives were dangerous and unstable. Moreover, they had to fight for everything and always be vigilant.
