Chapter 15 - Situation

"I have always made an effort to repay those who are kind to me. Miura-san should be well aware of that. On Valentine's Day and such, I wouldn't openly go out with her, would I?"

Satoru softly spoke and fed her another bite.

As long as he got close enough, Satoru could solve any problem with his good looks and gentle words. It was the ultimate killer move against these girls who yearned for him.

She pouted slightly with a hint of grievance.

"Try my lunch too. I made it myself!"

"The taste is amazing! Whoever marries Miura-san will be very fortunate!"

He sincerely praised her, giving a thumbs-up.

Miura Saya just glanced at him and hummed lightly.

The dark clouds had dispersed, and the sunlight once again showered the earth with love. Miura Saya adjusted her skirt and looked at him helplessly.

"Miyano-san is not well-liked in the class, and Yagami-kun, you're partly responsible for it too~"

She brought up the topic he had asked about earlier.

A woman should be understanding, she could be appropriately coquettish and let him pamper her, but not excessively. What she needed was his stance. Her mother's teachings still echoed in her ears, and Miura Saya wasn't in a hurry.

"Me?"

Satoru pointed to himself, innocence evident on his face.

Miura Saya loved how his cheek was bathed in sunlight. Being so close to him, she felt a warm sensation that enveloped her body and mind. She wanted to immerse herself in it until nightfall, and then roll into his embrace...

"You have admirers everywhere. I can handle it when we get closer, but Miyano-san, who already isn't well-liked, becomes even more isolated because of your jealous admirers..."

She absentmindedly poked at her lunchbox with the chopsticks, finding it hard to focus on eating. The phrase "a feast for the eyes" that she previously didn't quite understand suddenly made perfect sense to Miura Saya.

She lowered her head and glanced at herself, wondering if she should modify the buttons to open up more without violating the school rules. Never mind, he's tall, so he should be able to see!

"Is it that serious?"

Satoru frowned and pressed on, his lunch momentarily suppressing his negative emotions to maintain composure.

"It's quite serious. No one talks to her, as if she's invisible. Sometimes they even intentionally don't accept her assignments, and she doesn't have anyone to partner with in class..."

Miura Saya furrowed her brows as she described the situation.

"Yagami-kun, don't think it's just a casual matter. It's really severe!"

Satoru raised an eyebrow, sensing that Miura Saya might have some sympathy for Miyano Mirai.

"Are you feeling sorry for her?" he asked with interest.

"I just think the harm done to her is too great. It's hard to imagine how she manages to endure it. I heard it has been like this since her first year..."

Miura Saya's tone was melancholic.

If it wasn't for a hint of sympathy, she wouldn't have easily provided this information. After all, she was supporting her rival in love!

"Don't ask me why I don't help her. I also have my own small circle of friends... From Hokkaido to Tokyo, I don't even know why she came here for school."

Miura Saya added with a hint of frustration.

Satoru smiled and shook his head. He wasn't that foolish.

Having even a trace of compassion was already quite rare. Once the atmosphere in the class formed, it was difficult to change. It was like an unwritten rule that everyone tacitly maintained for her.

"Miura-san, do you have any suggestions on how we can help her? How can we make a difference?"

Although he had a better understanding now, he still didn't know what specific actions to take.

Miyano Mirai's situation was not good at all. She came alone when registering, a girl who had just entered high school, without any family accompanying her. Was her family situation a little complicated?

The class environment was like this, and she didn't have any friends. In this situation, whatever she did seemed unsurprising.

"It's really difficult! And you're not even in our class! Besides, the more you intervene, the worse her situation might become."

"Girl's jealousy can be quite exaggerated! Especially now, when she's already in this state, people will pour more malicious intent without restraint..."

Miura Saya fell into deep thought.

After pondering for a while, she still didn't have any ideas. When she looked up, she found Satoru smiling at her with a mischievous look on his face. Her thoughts shifted.

"You don't want me to help her, do you?"

She pointed at herself, wearing a surprised expression.

Satoru didn't say anything, he just fed her another bite of meatball.
