Uneasiness washed over me as I watched Alexander saunter into the bathroom in nothing but white joggers that hung low on his hips. The sight of his bare back, and his muscles that rippled with each movement caused the unstable pacing of my heart.
Even if I was really scared of this man because of the things he had done and I witnessed, I couldn't deny the sexiness that dripped from him.
As he disappeared into the bathroom, the sound of running water filled the room, clearly, because he left the door open.
I sat there, frozen, trying to make sense of everything. Waking up to Alexander in my room brought many questions like when he entered my room, and how, to my mind. Questions I had no answer to.
After last night incident, because I was so scared, I made sure to lock the door. I was a light sleeper that a pin drop can wake me up, so I should've noticed his presence.
Alexander's voice echoed from the bathroom, breaking my thoughts. "You know, you can join me if you'd like. The water's just the right temperature."
I stupidly blushed at the offer. "No, thank you," I replied almost immediately, my voice barely above a whisper.
A low chuckle drifted through the doorway. "Suit yourself, Princess. I'm looking forward to our breakfast."
I exhaled slowly, trying to stabilize my fast heartbeat. Looking down at myself on the bed that could fit at least seven people, I tossed the mattress away from my body. My feet found their way to the pink, fluffy slippers that was placed beside my bed.
As I stood up, I couldn't help but glance towards the bathroom door. The steam billowed out, carrying with it the irresistible scent that had drawn me in earlier.
As the steam filled the room, my thoughts grew foggier. Alexander's unique scent made it hard to focus on anything other than him.
Hesitantly, I took a step towards the bathroom, the bond got the better of me for a brief moment, before I shook my head and turned away.
I needed to clear my mind, to distance myself from the magnetic pull he had on me, so I walked to the window and yanked at it.
The bright sunlight bath me in it's warm glow. I closed my eyes from the brightness to let them adjust before opening them again.
However, the sound from the door opening caught my attention, and I turned to see a figure walk into the room.
Dressed in a blue shirt with black pants, his curly brown messy hair hung on his broad shoulders. Brown eyes held mine for barely a second before he turned his gaze to the bathroom door.
From his aura, I could tell he wasn't an ordinary person, and my wolf became alert.
I turned to see Alexander emerging from the bathroom, and I felt safe from his presence. A towel slung low around his hips, droplets of water tracing rivulets down his sculpted chest. His eyes locked onto mine, before they moved to the intruder's face.
"Alpha," the intruder bowed.
Alexander wiped his wet hair with the other towel he held. "When did you arrive, Liam?"
The familiarity in Alexander's tone didn't go unnoticed by me.
