"Do you want me to wait for you till you end toying with Aurora too?" Barbara yelled, her voice shaking with anger.
"No, no. I only have you in my heart. This engagement is an act. Trust me this time only," he confessed. His expression was heart-wrenching.
"How do you expect me to trust you when you will not even tell me the reason behind your act?" she asked.
"Just this time, please," he begged.
"I have to take my treatment, so Sir Richard had to leave," she said, turning around.
Richard realised that he did not ask about her well-being. His heart swelled with guilt. "How are you?" he asked.
Barbara stopped in her tracks. "Unfortunately for Sir Richard, I am fine."
