"Let us get married," Richard announced.
Barbara's eyes widened. She raised her head and looked into his blue eyes. Seeing the determined look on his face, her heart thumped.
"I -I, are you telling the truth?" she asked. Perhaps she was dreaming.
"I was serious," He said, taking his hand in his. "From the moment I laid my eyes on you, I know you are the one that I will spend my whole life with," he said, and she began to tear up, not from sadness but from joy. "So, Barbara Reylson, will you marry me to make me the complete man in this world? To let me love you and take care of you forever?" he asked, looking into her eyes.
Barbara nodded, feeling like she had lost her ability to talk and to hear there was only his face before her. His glowing blue eyes probed into hers while he vowed to start a new life with her.
"Y-yes," she finally confessed. "I am willing to share the rest of my life with you."
