The atmosphere in the room changed immediately. Although it seemed like a punishment for Kevin and the others, it was actually a way to show them who was in charge. Larry, as the parachuted executive appointed by Allen, held a special position. The company's higher-ups, despite their titles, were essentially just senior employees. They wouldn't dare oppose Larry's decision.
They all nodded in agreement, signaling their approval. As long as Larry was willing, he could handle the situation however he saw fit.
Larry nodded in satisfaction. "Then please supervise them here."
With that, he walked out of the men's restroom and said to Caroline, "Ms. Caroline, please show me around."
"Yes!" Caroline quickly followed him out.
The remaining executives in the restroom finally breathed a sigh of relief. Their long-suppressed anger erupted. They first lashed out at Kevin and the others, then forcefully executed Larry's orders.
Refuse to clean? Try it.
Kevin and the others were on the verge of tears, but they dared not defy the senior management.
They had no choice but to grit their teeth and comply...
Caroline led Larry to the CEO's office on the twentieth floor.
"Mr. Hermes, your office was tidied up yesterday. Do you have any suggestions for the layout?"
Larry sat on a high-end leather sofa, glancing around.
It was impressive and spacious!
"No suggestions, Ms. Caroline, please sit. Don't be so formal!"
Caroline sat opposite Larry, her long legs in black stockings crossed elegantly, exuding charm.
"Mr. Hermes, I sincerely apologize for today's incident. Please put in a good word for me with Allen."
Larry waved his hand dismissively. "I won't mention this to Allen."
"Thank you, Mr. Hermes!"
Caroline breathed a sigh of relief, patting her chest, causing a ripple effect.
Larry averted his eyes and said, "I'm not familiar with many of the company's operations, so I'll need your assistance moving forward."
"It's my duty! Do you have any other instructions, Mr. Hermes?"
"No further instructions, but..." Larry paused. "I heard that Kevin's cousin is the manager of the finance department. Have you heard of this?"
"Never heard of it!" Caroline shook her head, her expression serious. "The company policy clearly states that any financial executives with relatives working here must report it. Rest assured, Mr. Hermes, I'll investigate this matter thoroughly!"
Larry checked the time. "That's all for today. I have some errands to run later, so I'll leave now."
"Let me escort you out!"
"There's no need for that!"
Caroline suddenly remembered something. "Mr. Hermes, there's a dinner tomorrow evening at six with some of our business partners. Will you be able to attend?"
"Yes, where?"
"The Matt32 Hotel."
"Got it!"
Meanwhile, Larry didn't go home that morning but headed straight to a car dealership to buy a car. Although Larry had been poor, as a guy, he still had some knowledge about cars.
Larry already had a specific car in mind.
At the Lamborghini dealership entrance.
"This is it." Larry smiled slightly.
Larry had once seen a Lamborghini Aventador on the road, and its striking appearance had left a lasting impression on him. He could still remember it vividly.
Larry was sure it was the most beautiful car he had ever seen.
Back then, Larry fantasized about owning such a car someday.
But Larry knew that as a poor guy, he could never afford it in his lifetime.
Now, however, Larry had more than enough money to make his dream come true!
With that in mind, Larry walked straight into the dealership.
Such luxury car dealerships usually had few customers, and the place was quite deserted, with no other clients in sight. After all, not many people could afford a Lamborghini.
"Wait a moment!"
As soon as Larry reached the entrance, a male salesperson stopped him.
"Hey, aren't you... Larry?" The salesperson recognized Larry immediately.
"And you are?" Larry thought the salesperson looked familiar.
"I'm Daniel, your college classmate. Don't you remember?" Daniel said with a smile.
Hearing the name, Larry immediately recalled. "Daniel, you seem to be doing well."
"Not bad." Daniel puffed out his chest proudly.
Seeing Larry dressed in cheap clothes, Daniel assumed Larry was doing terribly, much worse than himself. So, he felt quite superior and confident in front of Larry.
Daniel then looked at Larry and asked with a smirk, "So, Larry, what brings you here? You're not here for a job, are you? We sell luxury cars here, and we don't hire people with poor taste."
Although Daniel was smiling, his tone was condescending.
"You've got it wrong. I'm here to buy a car." Larry said calmly.
