Sophia stepped out of Luca's room and gently closed the door behind her. She leaned against the wall for a moment, trying to process the emotions swirling inside her. She had never seen Luca so vulnerable and affectionate before, except for that time on the balcony. The scene she had just witnessed replayed in her mind, making her chest tighten.
As she walked back to her room, she couldn't help but think about Kim's words. Kim had said they weren't dating, so why were they kissing? It stung, even though she didn't understand why. She had no claim over Luca, yet seeing him with someone else felt like a punch to the gut. Especially if that person was Gianna.
When she reached her room, she found Kim waiting for her on the bed.
"Sophia, I've been waiting for you." Kim paused, noticing her sad expression. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," Sophia replied, forcing a smile. "Just... something unexpected."
