Chapter 24: Raiding the Dungeon with 'Elegance'

I hid behind the trees and observed the entrance of the dungeon. Something felt off. According to the source (earth novels), a dungeon in 'Dungeon Break' status should have monsters rampaging outside it in huge quantities.

"Isn't it supposed to be in the 'Dungeon Break' status?" I asked. "According to the source, monsters should be rampaging outside in huge quantities."

[Don't disturb me!] the system roared with anger.

"Tsk, fine!" I muttered.

With the system's warning in mind, I began analyzing my surroundings. The area was unusually quiet.

I distanced myself from the trees and closed my eyes, focusing on the land beneath me. The troll trait activated, and the land expanded within my vision. The tree roots beneath it were deeper than I expected. Even after opening my eyes, the vision remained unchanged. However, the dungeon's entrance seemed odd.

Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the land within 10 meters of the entrance was not resonating with me. Squinting, I saw dots inside this restricted area. The dots grew larger, revealing seven complete rounds of light with strips of black and red floating over them.

"Probably goblins lying in ambush," I concluded.

This barrier was invisible to me, but could they see me? I moved from one corner to another to test it out, and the goblins reacted to my movements.

"This is not fair!" I exclaimed.

"They're belittling me?"

If I couldn't deal with these goblins, there was no hope of finding my way home, let alone returning to it.

"Use SSS-Rank skill 'Eternal Sovereignty,'" I commanded.

[-200 MP]

Huge amounts of MP poured into my body from the environment, immediately leaving with a bit of my own stored MP. A massive mana circle, half the size of the entrance, began to materialize. Colorful circles of mana rotated in a cyclic motion. I realized the mana circle was asking me to give it a form. I focused my thoughts, and the mana circle shone brightly, its colors flashing across kilometers.

A beautiful lady made of crystals appeared, wearing clothes I recognized from my experience. Her outfit had various colorful lines engraved over it, and the ribbon sticks in her hands were made of mist, folded like whips.

In ten seconds, she bowed to me before dashing into the dungeon entrance. As soon as she arrived at the barrier, it shattered with her slim fist.

"Wow!" I exclaimed.

Hearing my exclamation, the lady smiled at me before her whips unfolded in unison, and she began to dance. The whips were no joke, their ends shaped like dragon heads with a gentle white wisp of mist hovering around them.

"Kieek!" x7

BANG x7

The goblins rushed at her, but their bodies froze and shattered into thousands of pieces.

[You've killed an Abyssal Goblin (Mutated Undead Variant)] x7

[Exp +75] x7

Looking at the Exp gained made me more enthusiastic.

"This is... magnificent!"

She ventured deeper into the cave, and I maintained a 10-meter distance from her. A strange barrier around her inflicted various elemental debuffs on the monsters instantly. The cave entrance was forcefully enlarged, causing cracks all around the tunnel.

BANG x n

[You've killed an Abyssal ...] x n

Despite the attacks, she continued dancing, elegantly taking lives with every step.

We reached a huge open area filled with goblins. Some had hideously detached limbs and organs, while others were completely made of skeletons.

"But why are all of them mutated-"

ROOARRRR!

A furious roar echoed towards us, but her barrier nullified the wind pressure. Red smoke leaked from her, covering her crystalline body with a malicious aura filled with killing intent.

The roar came from a huge goblin-like creature, an evolved form with strange black patches. Its hands were stripped of flesh but fully functional, and its head was caved inside its own chest.

"A Goblin Frankenstein!" I exclaimed.

"You have widened my scope of knowledge!"
