Chapter 29 - Master or Servant ?
As if the undead monsters who had lost their freedom was not enough, the whole realm of Dracia was enveloped in a new aura that was stronger, ferocious, and ruthless too.
...
The same undead king who was earlier interrupted in the prophecy was sitting on a throne. In front of him, a set of people were kneeling.
Before the undead could speak of anything, a very strong aura passed through him and the area thousands of kilometers far from him in the fraction of a second. This aura was spreading in every direction from the ground beneath to the sky above, causing every undead to shiver in fear and becoming obedient at the same time.
The aura passed to thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, …, tens of billions of beings in a mere second signifying its ridiculous speed behind it.
Even though the aura was travelling billions of kilometers in mere seconds, the vastness of the realm was not to be underestimated at all.
If the area were to be calculated, then the aura would have only taken over 0.001/100 of it.
As time passed, numerous monsters were changing sides and recognizing their new 'master'.
Among these monsters, they were also some brave ones who didn't obey the decree from aura. Their very origins were stripped along with the body, disintegrating into black particles and were headed to the originator of this destructive aura.
There were not many of these proud beings, just a few trillion undead monsters who were falling continuously every second.
It didn't end with just the undead monsters being enslaved or disintegrating continuously.
Earthquakes of various degrees cracked open the ground, only ending up to reveal wrathful spirits that had revived.
The original bodies of these spirits had long become one with the land, yet the shards of the destroyed spirits had come back to life turning into the current ghoul, ghost, specters, and other wrathful spirits.
What was more terrifying, that a whole monster empire had suddenly collapsed due to the earthquake. The very kingdom was buried in a matter of seconds, turning most of the dead monsters into new undead.
The process of the dead turning into undead was in microseconds.
All of these events had occurred in 25 seconds, and this aura had still only covered 0.011/100 of its total area.
…
At the goblin dungeon.
25 seconds have passed since this undead appeared in front of me.
It is looking around randomly in the cave and his body is leaking with a strange aura.
This aura is somehow identical to the aura I had released from my body after activation of the titles, but it's in a whole different league.
But it is not showing any trace of malice…
"Hey, system! What-"
[It is the summoned being from the title effect.]
"Fuck me !!"
"I thought it would be a small skeleton!"
[...I also thought the same.]
[Someone of his caliber shouldn't be here in the first place.]
I didn't get really what she said.
"What... does that mean?"
[Umm... The possibility of getting a weak summoned being is 99.9999985 % and anything that is summoned other than a weak summon falls in the 0.0000015 %.]
[It won't be an exaggeration to say that this happened because of your luck.]
I pondered over the system's words and was left in my thoughts. Just how high is the probability to receive such summons. Even in a gacha setting, the outcome of a strong undead would be in millions at the very least with a 0.015% chance.
Heh, now that I think about it. My luck is really astonishing.
"Will it be the same for the goblin summon that has not arrived yet?" I asked after a deep thought.
[Can't say anything about that.] The system replied without a thought this time.
"What should I do with him?" I almost forgot about the undead summon.
Just after my words stopped, a rather small status window appeared in front of me.
[Name - No. 1
Race - Undead
HP - 90,000
MP - 90,000
Luck - 6
Skills - Plain of the Dead (In effect)
Believers - 678,234,610,234,981 (Still Increasing)
Master - "None" (Soul bounded)]
"Woah… His HP, MP are fine, but… why does he only have one skill?!"
"Also, what are those believers?! "
"And why is my name "None" from the beginning?!"
[He only has one skill because he only needs one.]
[You never asked me to change your name.]
Hearing that I could change my name from the beginning almost made my ear bleed. Is this really my fault?!
"Then change it to 'Elias' right now!"
[Done.]
"What do you mean by 'he only needs one'?" I was really curious about this skill.
[Take a look for your self.]
The skill panel zoomed in, and it turned into a really long status window.
[Plain of the Dead: A passive skill that dominates every undead and turns them into believers when the skill holder arrives in a realm/world. Those who resist will be reduced to ashes while their origin is swallowed.
The dead that are yet to decay, the souls that are yet to disperse will come back to life no matter their existence lingering in the open sky, ground beneath or the depth of waters. Under this passive skill, the beings who die will immediately become undead.
Owner - No. 1
Authority - Elias]
⊙▂⊙
"Am I still the master who summoned him?!"
"I'm damn sure that this guy can take on the whole realm alone on his own!"
"The number of believers he has are more than the population of earth itself!"
He really doesn't need a second skill.
(╥╯⌒╰╥๑)
