It was only a few moments later that the two knights emerged from the shed. At first, Sir Geraint when he came out had a dazed, almost confused look on his face, while Sir Kay appeared slightly troubled.
It changed when they noticed that Sir Lancelot was at Artie's side.
Both men went pale, and Artie had a feeling things could hit the fan pretty quickly if she didn't step in.
"Sir Lancelot, you're a little early to pick up Her Grace." Sir Kay started, trying to get a read on the situation as he approached. Artie could tell his hand was shaking.
"I am." Sir Lancelot said, not budging an inch. Artie groaned internally. She might have stopped him from storming the shed, but that was about it. He was, after all, their commander, and practically her sworn protector. He wasn't going to back down easily when it came to her safety.
"Uh, we weren't gone for very long." Sir Geraint started, but shut up with one look from Sir Lancelot.
