She finally arrived at the wooden door of the shelter. Her lips twisted and her look contemplated on how to announce her presence.
"He is definitely going to freak out," She huffed a load of air as she spoke to the snake curled around her shoulders.
"Of course, he will. It's been a really long time you know," Arin hissed in response.
"Anyways," Ashley shrugged and pushed the door knob downwards. As usual, he always left the front door open like he was never bothered about just anyone walking in.
The lobby behind the door was cold and its only source of lit was a dim yellow bulb dangling from the ceiling. At the end of the lobby, there was a room. The door of the room was wide open, and she could see the shadow of a human figure accompanied by bright lights of different colours flashing on the wall.
Music resounded from the room and the voice of a man sang alongside.
