As his eyes ran through his upgraded stats, something hit him.

"I really haven't used my charm skill. Perhaps it will make even rude people like me despite how I look?" He asked Liesl.

"In layman's terms," She replied. "However, it increases your chances of being admired by people. It can be helpful in certain cases considering the phase of promotion your archive is in."

"I see," He nodded and then moved on to the system's store.

There were categories of products he would like to buy for his store which ranged from artifacts to chairs and tables.

"Does having this inbuilt store necessarily mean that I will no longer have to shop from markets?" He proceeded to ask.

"No," Liesl' simply answered. "The things available in the store are things that can simply help to upgrade the look of your store so you will still have to visit local markets and stores to get other stuff. Though the system is like an assistant, it is also a method of training you for the real challenges of life, both big and small."

' Points,' Emmet thought.

[The Devil's Archive has earned 696/1000 customer points in total]

"We're almost there," Emmet smiled at how good his progress was coming.

"The baby steps are slowly maturing," Liesl' responded in agreement to his words.

"So since the Promotional event has been set for two weeks from now, I do think that we should begin making preparations like buying some stuff that will be needed and storing them before that day," Emmet suggested.

"Very well," Liesl nodded. "The earlier the better."

It was 9:00pm already and since the Archive was already closed, Emmet felt it would be a good time to go out. At least, Emeria was as bustle at night as it always was in the morning.

"Sire, I do suggest that you make a mental note of the things you will need to get," Liesl quickly said before he would make a move to step out of the Archive.

"Hmm well, I have shopping bags in mind. If I want to give souvenirs to guests which is certainly something I will do, it would only make sense if it would be packaged neatly and attractively," Emmet began. "Aside that, I don't really have much in mind."

"Have you thought of snacks?" Liesl asked. "How about getting someone who can supply those for three days and striking a deal with them?"

"Sounds like a brilliant idea," Emmet nodded in agreement.

When he and his cat had finally left the Archive, their stop was a mini mart.

Its automatic moving doors did not fail to get "wows" from Emmet. The mart was quite busy, with people standing in various sections and trying to buy stuff.

"This place is really nice," Emmet said in a low tone to Liesl, who rested on his shoulder.

"It is. Supermarkets are bigger and you will definitely like them more," She assured him.

His appearance was strange to everyone he walked past and almost every one of them were terrified and cautious. Why would a grown man walk into a place filled with people while looking like that?

Some parents held their wandering children to themselves once the red man was spotted.

"Why does he look like that?" They whispered amongst himself.

"I don't think there's any carnival going on around or even in any square."

"What creepy looking thing."

"What red handsomeness! He looks quite scary though."

However, Emmet sailed through their comments to which he showed no signs of concern to nor was he bothered by any of them.

Soon, he managed to come to a section of the mart where shopping bags of various patterns and designs were sold.

The lady in charge of the section had on dark makeup and she seemed like someone who was forced to get a job.

"Good evening, how may I help you?" Her bored eyes moved to his face and her lifeless voice struck his ears.

"Before anything, could you suggest at least three designs that actually give a homey kind of comfort and feeling?" Emmet asked. He didn't know if she was the right person to ask for suggestions or recommendations from, considering how she looked uninterested in everything.

"We have the sweet dreams, the colour rush, the lavender lush, cherry on top, and sandel," She slowly counted the words out as if talking was some sort of boring and stressful extra-curricular activity for her while pointing out to the designs she had called out.

"Lavender lush looks pretty amazing and so does sweet dreams. What do you think?" Emmet asked Liesl, forgetting in that moment that they weren't alone so the girl responded in the cat's stead.

"Do I look like I work for you, red dude?" Her voice depicted a rude tone yet the boredom in her eyes were unchanging. "Pick something and move along."

"I don't think I made mention of you, did I?" Emmet raised an eyebrow. "I don't think you could be asked for even coffin design recommendations."

With that, he made his way out of the store without purchasing anything. His next stop was a supermarket which Liesl had directed him to.

And a supermarket was definitely bigger than a mini mart like she had said.
