[Three more books by Rain have been obtained]
"Books by Rain have been pictured as something unique or with special meaning to you by the system," Liesl took up the task of explaining.
"I do understand that," Emmet narrowed his gaze to slits at the screen.
Another notification soon followed.

He ignored the notification in that moment and decided to take a look at its information later. His mind was on the books by Rain which the system had added to the library.
He returned to the library and headed over to the literary section. He inspected the first shelf with the system's inspect skill but the books weren't available on it. The system finally highlighted the three books in the third shelf, with all three books in the same shack.
He took out the three books and proceeded to sit on the floor. Liesl jumped off his shoulder and sat beside him, seeming eager to take a look at the books just as her master was.
Emmet opened the first book and it had the same effect on him as the other books he had seen that were written by the mysterious author. The same thing happened with the second book and then, the third book.
However, the main character of the books remained the boy who knew himself as White head.
"Nothing has changed in his books as regards the main character but the storyline always happen to be different," Emmet's brows furrowed and his forehead creased just by taking a second look at the books without falling into a trance. Just like other times he had decided to take a look at Rain's books, he had fallen into a trance on opening the books for the first time but once it ended, and he decided to open the book for the second or how many more times, the trance experience wouldn't repeat itself.
Strange why it worked like that.
"The more I see books by this person called Rain, the more I feel like he has something to do with my past life. Although the lines have yet to fully connect themselves, I can see some hints here and there," Emmet spoke in a low tone after reading the first chapter of one of the books.
"It could be likely that you were his creation. Well, in your past life you may have been," Liesl said, moving her eyes from the open book to his face.
Emmet went silent and stared hard at the book as though it would suddenly answer the questions running through his mind. Could it be possible?
"The only reason why you may probably have no idea of your past life being in a book may be due to the fact that you were one of the many characters from stories who are unable to gain awareness or enlightenment. Only few characters tend to have this awareness," Liesl continued. "However, this is only a probability. It may have been a coincidence that he writes about White head."
"If there is a book of his that perfectly matched my past life in every detail, that will prove your theories," Emmet nodded. If Rain turned out to be his creator, why did he have to make him so miserable in every instance?
What if White head was a side character from another book made by Rain and he had somehow grown to hate the character and decided to make a series based off his hatred for the character?
"Let's go see if there's any of his books, in my own shelf," He suggested and Liesl nodded before jumping back onto his shoulder in the form of a raven.
When they returned to his room, Emmet proceeded to use his inspect on the shelf.

...
[error! error!]
[No book written by Rain detected]
"It's just those three," Emmet said to the raven on his shoulder.
He had come to notice something in the library that he couldn't explain. There were always several copies of every book available in the Archive but whenever it came to books written by the mysterious author, Rain, each book was without an extra copy or more copies.
"It probably has to do with his books being unique to you and as such, it appears just for you to notice them," Liesl answered the ringing question in his mind. "That is what I think. However, I am not too sure of that answer."
"I'll just be patient till I'm able to find more clues into the whole thing," Emmet sighed and rubbed his chin.
"It's been a long day, sire. Now, I suggest you take a bath and take some time to garner spiritual energy. It would be best to come to an understanding of how it works in you," The shape-shifter suggested and her master agreed.
The raven reduced to smog which swiftly headed for the bed to revert to her cat form.
Emmet then moved into the bathroom to do as the shape-shifter had suggested. He got into the prepared tub and immersed himself into his bath water and allowed his body to float freely as he shut his eyes.
In his state of peace and quiet, he was able to garner spiritual energy from his surrounding. However, it was much slower and a little difficult for him to do since he couldn't naturally use spiritual breathing, unlike when he had used Ethereal tea as a means of doing so.
After a few attempts of trying to get a definite pace at which he would go, he put a stop to the flow of the energy around him.
Once he was done, he stepped out dressed in a towel bath robe with his silver hair wet and darkened with water.
"Just perfect," Liesl nodded and motioned for him to sit on the floor.
He did as he was told and got into a lotus position.
"I'll be back," She said and turned into smog that swiftly seeped out of the room through its closed door. When the smog returned, it was swirling around a teacup that was properly stationed in its centre.
The smog moved before the red man and gently placed the teacup on the floor before reverting to the black cat took to sitting in front of him.
Emmet reached for the teacup and found its content to be the light brown liquid as expected.
He emptied the liquid into his mouth in one gulp and set the cup aside. He proceeded to shut his eyes and Liesl placed her paw on his stomach like she had done last time.
"With time, you will be able to trace the energy yourself," She said in a low tone as her paw lit up in dark red energy that slowly flowed into his stomach.
While keeping retaining his focus, Emmet channelled the blue strings of energy that appeared in a void into his body through his energy pathways.
After a brief moment, Liesl took her paw away from his stomach and did all she could to monitor how he tried to maintain a steady breathing pace.
Just then, his body lit up in a warm golden glow.
"The e-energy strings...are no longer blue. They've turned yellow," His voice came almost in a whisper.
