Maximus went downstairs towards the living room and there he found Lucy Ross sitting gently like a rose with no thorns.
But Max didn't like a flower that hid its thorns. Rather, he liked the ones that had their thorns on full display. He smirked.
"Miss Ross," he called and Lucy raised her gaze to him excitedly. "I'm glad you could make it."
"Yes, it's nice to meet you." She said.
"Now, now. No need to be so formal." He said and softly held her chin, gazing into her eyes. "We'll be married soon, so let's drop formalities, okay?" He said, smiling politely and she nodded, blushing lightly.
'Oh God, he's so handsome. With such a handsome and powerful man by my side, I don't think I'll ever need anything in life again.' Lucy thought, staring at Max's face.
She was so happy that she was able to get rid of Valerie. If she hadn't gone extreme, she would've never gotten her hands on this big prize.
