With that outburst, Stephanie ran out of there, thinking Mariam would go after her but Mariam stayed seated and let out a sigh of relief.
"I'm sure I won't regret it." She muttered.
"Well, that ended quickly." Valerie said, returning from her table. She sat down and Max did the same. "I was sure she would make it back to the house with us but I guess she blew her chance without us helping."
Mariam looked at her with squinted eyes. So they did know something.
"Mariam is very perceptive." Max added. "She's too smart to be fooled for that long."
"You already know your sister well." Tiana added and Max nodded.
"Yeah, I know my sister very well."
"So, you all knew something that I didn't know?" Mariam asked and the place went silent. "I knew something was up with the way you were acting and that's how I was able to notice Stephanie's behavior."
