Valerie and Max sat opposite Tiana who was scanning them from head to toe. She shook her head and sighed,
"You newlyweds can't get your hands off each other, eh? I get it but must you make things difficult for the people here?" She asked and Valerie discreetly cleared her throat, with her gaze on the floor.
Max had no problem getting reprimanded. He looked straight into his mother's face and said,
"She was the one who started it."
Valerie's eyes widened. He did not just say that.
"I was just going along with my wife's eager pleas." He smirked.
Tiana shifted her gaze from Max to Valerie whose gaze was still fixed to the floor. She didn't look like she would deny it.
"Hm, I didn't picture my daughter-in-law for the open type." She said but then laughed. "Well, it's okay. This way, we should be expecting a child soon, haha." She laughed.
