Elara led her team through the dense forest, their movements barely a whisper in the still dawn air. Each step brought them closer to their target and closer to the inevitable confrontation. They reached a vantage point overlooking the heavily fortified outpost, one of the key locations they needed to strike.
The outpost was surrounded by a makeshift wooden fence and patrolled by Malachor's soldiers. Elara signaled for the team to halt, her mind racing with strategy.
"We'll need to create a diversion to draw the guards away," Elara whispered, her eyes scanning the defenses. "Kael, can you use your magic to create an illusion and draw their attention?"
Kael nodded, his hands already glowing with magical energy. "I'll cast an illusion of an attack from the opposite side. It should be enough to pull their forces away and give us a window to move in."
