The departure preparations were literally carried out over the course of a week. The servants worked very hard for it. And when the day of departure came, everything was loaded onto the three freight cars.
"Has permission to leave the capital been obtained, Sebas?" Eleonora was just checking. She didn't want to be stopped at the exit gate.
"Yes, Lady, the palace delivered the permission letter yesterday afternoon. There's nothing else to worry about!" Sebas informed. "Lord Duke Windsor said he would be waiting for us and our entourage at the capital's exit gate."
There were actually a few things that still worried Eleonora. One of them was Madame Effie Berdine's business. During the week of preparing almost everything, right after the request for permission to leave the capital was sent, Eleonora was afraid of being summoned back to the king's palace. She did not want to explain anything.
