Chapter 43 - Plot bought successfully

They stood up, shaking hands firmly. "I'll arrange the paperwork, and we can finalise the deal soon so that you get we exchange the title deed," Smith said.

Tom, surprised by John's late sure win, voiced. "We need to get the deal done. This won't happen here, we need to get in the office for the official signing and stumping of the documents."

Smith and Tom entered the BMW XM SUV that had been parked at the shade of the Oak tree by Smith. John signalled for them to go and he was following them using his motorcycle.

John and Grace closed the store and hopped on the motorcycle to get the deal done and dusted. They were to ensure Rashid didn't obtain the plot.As John approached Tom's office in Greenland City, he felt a mixture of anticipation and satisfaction.

This was the culmination of a lot of hard work and strategic planning, and the sense of victory over Rashid made it all the sweeter. The office was situated in a sleek modern building with glass walls that reflected the bustling city around it.

Grace walked beside John, sharing his excitement. "I can't believe we're finally here," she said, smiling.

John nodded, feeling a surge of pride. "It's been a long road, but it's worth it. Let's get this done."

They entered the office and were greeted by Tom, who was already waiting for them. "John, Grace, good to see you both. Everything is set for the signing."

John shook Tom's hand firmly. "Thanks, Tom. We're ready."

Tom led them to a spacious conference room where Smith, the landlord, was seated. Beside him was a tall stack of documents. "Good to see you again, John," Smith said, standing up to shake his hand.

"Likewise, Mr. Smith," John replied warmly.

Tom began distributing the documents. "Alright, we've got all the paperwork here. John, you'll need to sign in several places. Grace, you'll sign as a witness, and Smith, you'll sign over the title deed for the exchange of property to John Johnson."

John felt a thrill of excitement as he picked up the pen. He started signing the documents, carefully reading each one. Grace sat beside him, her presence reassuring. She signed as a witness wherever needed, her handwriting neat and precise.

As John signed the last document, he felt a wave of satisfaction. "There, all done," he said, handing the pen back to Tom.

Smith leaned back in his chair, a satisfied look on his face. "Well, that's that. Congratulations, John. You're the new owner of the plot. May this plot give you what you want to achieve!"

"Thank you, Mr. Smith. I appreciate the opportunity," John said sincerely. John followed the procedure of payment and had to add a service fee of $50,000.

After completing the transactions, he looked at his balance message. Confirmed. $500,050,000 transferred to RBXA. New account balance is $71,200 transaction cost $100.This was Tom's account, then he was to transfer to Smith for reference.

Tom gathered the signed documents well stamped and handed John a thick envelope. "Here's the title deed. Everything's official now."

John took the envelope, feeling the weight of his accomplishment. "I can't thank you enough, Tom. You've been a great help."

Tom smiled. "Just doing my job, John. I'm glad it worked out for you."

As they left the office, John couldn't help but smile. The sense of satisfaction was immense. He had secured the plot, thwarted Rashid's plans, and taken a significant step forward for his business.

Grace looked at him with admiration. "You did it, John. You really did it."

John nodded, feeling a deep sense of fulfilment. "We did it, Grace. This wouldn't have been possible without your help."

They decided to celebrate their success with a small lunch at a nearby cafe spending $ 200. Over sandwiches and coffee, they discussed their plans for the new plot.

"I've been thinking about the design for the new store," John said, taking a sip of his coffee. "It needs to be modern, efficient, and capable of handling a lot of inventory."

Grace pulled out her tablet. "I've been doing some research on large wholesale store designs. There are a few models we could consider."

They spent the next few hours looking at various construction plans. Grace showed John several layouts for big wholesale stores, explaining the benefits of each.

"This one here," Grace said, pointing to a design on her screen, "has a really efficient flow for both customers and stock. It's called a racetrack layout. Customers are guided through a single path, ensuring they see most of the merchandise."

John nodded, intrigued. "I like that. It maximises visibility and helps with crowd control."

Grace swiped to another design. "This one is an open floor plan. It's very flexible and allows for easy reconfiguration of shelves and displays."

John considered the options. "Both have their merits. We need something that can grow with us and adapt to changing needs."

Grace smiled. "Exactly. We should also think about the back-end logistics. Efficient loading docks, storage areas, and maybe even a mezzanine level for extra inventory."

John was impressed by Grace's insights. "You've really done your homework, Grace. This is fantastic."

Grace blushed slightly. "I just want to make sure we get the best possible setup."

They continued to discuss various features and designs, such as "cross-docking," and "FIFO inventory management." The conversation was filled with technical jargon, but it was clear that both were passionate about creating the perfect store.

As they delved deeper into the details, John felt a growing sense of excitement. This was more than just a business expansion; it was a chance to create something truly exceptional.

Grace laughed at one point, breaking the intensity. "You know, John, we're starting to sound like architects."

John chuckled. "Maybe we missed our true calling."

They both laughed, the tension of the day melting away in their shared enthusiasm. By the end of their discussion, they had a clear vision for the new store.

John leaned back in his chair, feeling content. "This is going to be amazing, Grace. I can't wait to get started."

Grace nodded, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Me neither. This is just the beginning, John. We're going to build something incredible."

As they left the cafe, John felt a deep sense of satisfaction. He had not only secured the plot but also laid the groundwork for a bright future. The challenges ahead seemed manageable with Grace by his side and a clear vision in mind.

The sense of victory over Rashid was sweet, but even sweeter was the realisation that he was building something lasting and meaningful. As they walked back to the store, John felt a surge of pride and determination. The future was bright, and he was ready to embrace it with open arms.

That evening, back at the store, John and Grace continued their planning. They looked at more construction plans, discussed potential contractors, and even started drafting a timeline for the project.

John couldn't help but smile as they worked. "You know, Grace, this store is going to be our legacy. Something we can be proud of for years to come."

Grace nodded, her expression serious but happy. "I know, John. And I'm honoured to be a part of it. Anyway, what about the starting construction funds or we get the loaners?"
