Cassie sat with a body that felt weak and cold in the corner of the room. Ever since they escaped from the red-robed creature, she felt something strange inside her body-like a part of her had disappeared. The energy that used to keep her strong was now ebbing away, leaving her in a fragile and helpless state.
Kevin and Mattew watched Cassie's condition anxiously. They could see that something was wrong, but didn't know how to help. Kevin squatted down in front of Cassie, looking at her with concern. "Cassie, what happened? You look so weak..."
Cassie shook her head softly, her voice almost inaudible. "I... I feel like my energy is being taken... by that thing. Every second that passes, it feels harder and harder to breathe."
