"The voice... who said it?"
"You'll know, Cassie. In time, everything will be revealed," Lucca replied.
'Why does that voice always haunt me,' Lucca thought to himself.
Lucca softened his expression, not wanting to scare Cassie with the mention of the voice.
He walked closer to where the waves met the shore, stretching out his arms to embrace the night breeze mixed with the crashing waves.
Cassie remained silent, watching Lucca from her spot. Her mind was still swirling with things that seemed absurd lately, including this moment.
Lucca turned around, "Don't you want to hear my explanation? Aren't you curious about who I am?" His words startled Cassie.
She stared at Lucca for a few seconds until his question made her run toward him.
Lucca chuckled as he watched Cassie run. Cute, he thought. "You seem very curious," he teased.
Cassie looked out at the ocean, her eyes darting nervously. "Ehem... um... Yaa."
