"You don't dare, do you!" the chubby boy pointed out triumphantly.
The other rascals laughed heartily, sticking their tongues out and making faces at Bai Cheng'an. Parroting the phrase, they said, "You don't dare, do you!"
Bai Cheng'an didn't bother arguing with them and, taking Qian Sisi by the hand, began to walk back: "The riverbank is dangerous, you all should head home early!"
"Erhu, show them something to open the eyes of these city folks!" someone egged the chubby boy on.
Bai Cheng'an had only taken a few steps with Qian Sisi when they heard a "plop" behind them. They both turned around to see the rotund chubby boy diving into the water with remarkable agility, his white belly rolling through the water like a little white dragon, swimming further and further away, heading straight for the deepest part of the river!
A group of boys cheered excitedly on the riverbank, rooting for the chubby boy, and while doing so, they still sneered at the city dwellers for being cowards.
