Chapter 9 - Herb seeker

As the days went by, Ethan's condition continued to worsen. Minor had tried everything he could think of to help him, but nothing seemed to be working. Ann had been nursing Ethan back to health, but it was clear that he needed more than just medicine and rest.

One day, Minor came to Ann with a determined look on his face. "I think I know what we can do to help Ethan," he said.

"What is it?" Ann asked, curious.

"I need to go up to the mountain and get some herbs," Minor said. "I've heard that they can cure all sorts of ailments, including the ones that are plaguing Ethan."

Ann's eyes widened in surprise. "You're going to climb the mountain?" she asked.

Minor nodded. "I have to try something," he said. "Ethan's getting worse by the day, and I won't give up until I find a way to help him."

Ann felt a surge of admiration for Minor. She knew that climbing the mountain was a daunting task, but she also knew that Minor was determined to help his friend.

"Let me come with you," Ann said, before Minor could respond.

Minor's eyes lit up with surprise. "You want to come with me?" he asked.

Ann nodded. "I do," she said. "I'm not going to leave you to face this alone. Besides, I've always been curious about the mountain. I'd love to see what's up there."

Minor smiled, relieved. "Okay, then," he said. "But we have to be careful. The mountain is treacherous, and we don't know what kind of dangers we might face."

Ann nodded, undaunted. "I'm ready for whatever comes our way," she said.

And with that, they set off on their journey up the mountain. The air grew thinner and the wind grew stronger as they climbed higher, but Ann was determined to push on.

As they reached the top of the mountain, Ann gasped in awe at the breathtaking view below. The landscape stretched out before them like a vast expanse of green and brown, with the distant sound of a waterfall echoing through the air.

Minor smiled, pleased that Ann was enjoying the view. "We're almost there," he said, leading her to a small clearing surrounded by a ring of strange-looking plants.

Ann's eyes widened as she saw the plants for what they were - herbs unlike any she had ever seen before.

As they reached the top of the mountain, Ann gasped in awe at the breathtaking view below. The landscape stretched out before them like a vast expanse of green and brown, with the distant sound of a waterfall echoing through the air. Minor smiled, pleased that Ann was enjoying the view.

"Wow, this is incredible," Ann said, her eyes scanning the horizon.

Minor nodded, his eyes shining with excitement. "I know, right? I've never seen anything like it." he said. "These are the herbs we need to help Ethan."

As they took in the view, Minor pulled out a small pouch from his belt. "I've been preparing for this trip for weeks," he said. "I have all the herbs we need to help Ethan."

Ann's eyes widened as she saw the pouch. "You've been planning this for weeks?" she asked.

"I knew we needed to do something to help Ethan, and I knew that these herbs could be the key to saving him."

Ann's eyes lit up with determination. "Then let's get started," she said.

Minor smiled and handed her a small vial filled with a strange-looking liquid. "First, we need to mix this potion with some of the herbs," he said.

Ann took the vial and examined it carefully. "This is some kind of medicine, isn't it?" she asked.

Minor nodded. "Yes, it is. It's a special blend that I've been working on for weeks. I think it will help Ethan recover from his illness."

As they worked together, mixing the potion and gathering the herbs, Ann couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for Minor. She had never seen anyone so dedicated to helping someone else before.
