The Underground City:
The woman leads me through the winding streets of the city, avoiding the main thoroughfares and sticking to the shadows. I'm not sure where we're going or what we're looking for, but I'm grateful for her guidance.
As we walk, I notice that the buildings around us are getting older and more run-down. The walls are cracked and worn, and the windows are boarded up. It's clear that this part of the city is not as prosperous as the rest.
The woman stops at a large, crumbling building and pushes open a creaky door. We step inside, and I find myself in a dimly lit hallway.
The air is thick with dust and the smell of decay. I can hear the sound of dripping water echoing off the walls.
The woman leads me deeper into the building, her footsteps echoing off the stone floor. We pass through a series of narrow corridors and stairways, until we finally reach a large, underground chamber.
The room is filled with rows of makeshift stalls and market stalls, selling everything from food to clothing to strange, exotic items. The air is thick with the smell of spices and incense, and the sound of merchants calling out their wares fills the air.
The woman pulls me through the crowd, her eyes scanning the room as if searching for something specific. I follow her, trying to take in everything around me.
As we move through the market, I start to notice strange symbols etched into the walls. They seem to be some sort of language or code, but I'm not sure what they mean.
The Encounter
Suddenly, a figure steps out of the crowd, his eyes fixed on me. He's a tall, thin man with piercing green eyes and a mischievous grin.
"Ah," he says. "I see you've found your way to the underground city."
I feel a sense of unease as he approaches me. There's something about him that seems...off.
"I am Riven," he says. "And you are...?"
I hesitate before speaking. "I don't know," I say. "I don't remember my name or my past."
Riven's eyes light up with interest. "Ah," he says. "A blank slate. How intriguing."
He glances at the woman beside me, his eyes flashing with amusement. "I think we can help you with that," he says.
Do I trust Riven and his motives?
