I see... so food is a constant resource here... it's true that one of the trailers promised foods more delicious than those available today. So first I took out the bottle with water and took a light sip to quench my thirst, then I took out the item called nutrient ball.
---
Item: Nutrient Ball
Rank: Normal
Effect:
- Increases hunger status.
- Does not spoil.
Description: A ball made of pure nutrients, it's an item people sometimes carry for ease of use, but it's used as a last resort due to its bitter and bland taste.
---
I put the ball in my mouth and took a few bites, and indeed it was bland and had an unpleasant bitterness... it seems I need to find food here later by purchasing or other means. But regardless, I sat down and took out the book. Inside the book, it talked about some basic information on the game's mechanics, including what each status does, what it called class level, titles, skills, items, etc.
Additionally, towards the end of the book, it mentioned the town center, which had a plaza and commercial zones for players and NPCs, including a restaurant, potion shop, blacksmith, clothing and accessories shop, and a depot for selling items. Furthermore, at the front end of the town were what were called class towers/houses, where players could change classes. On the left and right sides, there were hunting fields ranging from level 1 to 5 and another from level 5 to 10, while the back of the town was the residential area where NPCs lived. What caught my attention in this area was a library, but specifically, it was written like this:
I was interested in the library but somewhat shocked by the price; even though I hadn't bought anything, 60 gold coins didn't seem cheap, especially in a starting village.
After reading the book and acquiring some general information, I got up and stored it in the inventory while moving and reading the mission. I didn't see anyone reading the book, which means all the players in this village went straight to the next steps, which is this mission.

Mission: Choose your weapon
Objective:
- Go to the training area between the class towers and the commercial zone and select your first weapon.
- Upon selecting the weapon, perform the basic training on site.
- Go to the first hunting field. Hunt: ??? (0/6)
Reward at the end of the mission: 5 gold coins, basic weapon.
Description: Which weapon will be used? It's time to start the first fights.

It didn't take long to find the place; it was a relatively large two-story building made entirely of wood. Inside, there was a reception, two halls, and stairs leading to the second floor.
I saw a high number of players entering and exiting the training rooms or more specifically one of the rooms. In the busy room, I could see a young man with a handsome and kind appearance who seemed to be teaching everyone meticulously. As for the other, I saw a middle-aged man with a grumpy face who barely responded when players spoke to him. For now, I stood in line and observed while the receptionist, who seemed to be of the dwarf race given her size, talked to the players and handed out weapons.
Soon it was my turn.
"Hello new player, it's a pleasure to meet you, which weapon would you like to choose?"
She smiled kindly, and I responded with a gentle and respectful smile.
"Pleasure, young lady, I am Alan. Hmmm, can I know how the choice works and what types of weapons are available?"
I asked with real curiosity, although behind her I could see a bow, sword, spear, axe, shield, staff, daggers, whip, and others.
"What a polite young man. Well, the available weapons are those you see behind me. This choice now is not so decisive, but it's still important. If possible, choose a weapon thinking about your future fighting style and class."
Hearing her words, I thought for a while and asked something I was curious about.
"For magic-related, priestly, or summoner classes, how will it work based on the chosen weapon?"
Upon hearing my question, she responded kindly.
"For summoners, there is no specific weapon, especially depending on the type of summoner, but for the other classes you mentioned, I would recommend an item like a staff. Of course, you don't need to worry when choosing; this weapon will grant two temporary skills to allow you to fight. If you choose a class not related to the skills, they will disappear."
Hearing her words, I understood the mechanics. After all, if someone thought of a mage and chose a staff, it would be complicated to fight just by hitting enemies' heads, not to mention if it's something priestly. After thinking for a while, two weapons caught my attention. I smiled gently and cutely at her while trying to talk to her in the best way I could.
"Can I choose two different weapons, lovely miss?"
She looked at me surprised and laughed.
"Haha, well, let me think... First, which weapons do you want?"
Hearing her words, I pointed without hesitation to the two weapons, one was a whip, and the other was a wand, which was also a weapon for mages or similar classes, although less common compared to staffs. She looked and smiled.
"Well, all right, but you'll have to meet two conditions."
"First, for a wand-type weapon, you'll have to sacrifice one of the skills, choose between Magic Arrow and Small Heal."
"Magic Arrow."
"As for the second condition, you'll need to receive a satisfactory evaluation from one of the trainers, specifically from our strictest trainer. Trainer Fisk, do you accept, or shall we proceed as usual?"
When she finished speaking, a mission appeared in front of me, and I went to read it.
---
Mission: Walk with two weapons
Objective:
- Go to the training area between the class towers and the commercial zone and select your first weapon.
- Upon selecting the weapon, perform the basic training on site with a grade satisfactory to the strictest trainer.
- Go to the first hunting field. Hunt: ??? (0/20)
Reward at the end of the mission: 10 gold coins, both basic weapons.
Description: You were bold and want to leave with two weapons, so the difficulty has increased. Impress the strict trainer Fisk. Good luck and fulfill the mission well.
---
"I agree!!"
"Good luck, boy, old Fisk is not in a good mood. Remember, you can always go back; the other trainer is much easier to get along with."
"Don't worry, I'll manage."
I gave her a smile and went to the training field where Fisk was.
The trainer who stayed behind looked at my departure and murmured.
"Bold... also a rare hybrid of two interesting races... even with crossbreeding of different races, hybrids are very rare... well, let's see how this boy will fare."
After she said that, she went back to talking to the people in front and handing out weapons.
"A hammer? Okay."
"Sword, next"
