Chapter 13 - Chapter:13, Yuki Tusukumo

*****

Both Sumiko and I arrived at Yaga's office, a quaint space adorned with stacks of dusty tomes and various mystical artifacts scattered about. Yaga sat behind his cluttered desk, an air of wisdom and authority surrounding him, as we stood before him, waiting expectantly.

Hirari, Sumiko, please, have a seat," Yaga gestured to a pair of worn chairs in front of him. We obliged, sitting nervously, unsure of what was to come.

With a knowing gaze, Yaga began to address us, his voice resonating with authority as he delved into the purpose of our summons. Sumiko shifted uncomfortably in her seat, while I listened intently, hanging on his every word.

As Yaga spoke, his words carried weight, weaving a tapestry of guidance and insight. Despite the gravity of the situation, a small smirk played at the corners of his lips, hinting at a hidden amusement beneath his sage demeanor.

Yaga said,"Hikari, this will be your first mission, and I'm assigning it to you to accompany Sumiko. Your objective is to support and collaborate with Sumiko, ensuring the mission's success. Sumiko, as an experienced operative, will guide you through the procedures and protocols."

Hikari kept quiet, listening intently to Yaga's words, while Sumiko couldn't hide her displeasure. She was openly complaining, clearly unhappy about the prospect of being paired with Hikari for the mission." I don't want to be paired with him, what if he drags me down?"

Hearing Sumiko's complaints, Yaga sighed and told her that there was no one else available, and she had to comply.

Hikari kept quiet, listening intently to Yaga's words. However, he couldn't help but give a mocking smile.

Sumiko, clearly unhappy about the situation, glared at Hikari, feeling frustrated about being paired with him for the mission.

With the mission details in hand, they left the office. Saying goodbye to their teacher, they walked down the corridor. Sumiko complained, "Don't slow me down on my mission."

She huffed off, clearly irritated. Hikari sighed at her overreaction but felt a mix of determination and excitement about his first mission.

Determined not to drag Sumiko down, Hikari reflected on his rigorous training. He had worked hard for this day and was eager to prove himself.

As they continued down the corridor, Sumiko's annoyance was palpable. Despite her frustration, Hikari remained optimistic, knowing that his efforts would pay off.

With each step, Hikari felt more confident. He was ready to show Sumiko and himself that he was capable and prepared for whatever lay ahead.

As they reached the end of the corridor, Sumiko's annoyance was palpable. Despite her frustration, Hikari remained optimistic, knowing that his efforts and hard work would pay off.

Sumiko walked to her dormitory, still fuming, while Hikari went to get a drink to quench his thirst. He knew that staying hydrated was crucial for the challenges ahead.

On his way to get a drink, Hikari found Geto sitting alone on a bench. Curious and a bit surprised, he called out, "Geto, what are you doing here all by yourself?" Geto looked up, slightly startled by Hikari's sudden call.

With a slight smile, Geto motioned for Hikari to sit next to him. Hikari took the seat beside his friend, sensing that something was on Geto's mind and eager to find out what it might be.

"Nothing much, just resting," Geto replied with a relaxed smile. "Would you like a cola?" he asked, gesturing to the cooler beside him filled with various drinks.

"Then mango juice; I don't like soda much," said Hikari shamelessly. Geto smiled warmly at his new friend's preference, appreciating their differences.

As they conversed, their exchange was suddenly interrupted by Haibara calling out, "Geto-san and Hikari!" Geto, being older and a senior, was addressed with the honorific "san."

However, Haibara didn't hesitate to call Hikari by his name without an honorific, as Hikari had previously reminded him not to use honorifics since they were classmates. With his free-spirited nature, Haibara didn't think twice about addressing him casually.

Sitting and conversing, Hikari suddenly remembered an event from the past as the surrounding atmosphere felt familiar. He asked Haibara, "Do you have any mission tomorrow?" Haibara replied, "No," and Hikari breathed a sigh of relief.

"Oh, lucky you," Hikari lamented to Geto and Haibara. "I have to go pretty far for tomorrow's mission with Sumiko. It may take two days for me to return, but just staying with Sumiko for an hour drains my energy."

Geto and Haibara chuckled at Hikari's misfortune, finding humor in his playful exaggeration. They shared a moment of camaraderie, teasing each other as friends often do.

"If Sumiko hears this, she'd probably say it's the other way around," Hikari mused, imagining Sumiko teasing him about being the annoying one instead. "But seriously, her intensity can be draining sometimes."

"Then bring back some souvenirs," Geto suggested. "Of course! Would you prefer sweet or salty?" Before Geto could respond, Haibara interjected, "Both! Bring both for me, please!" Hikari smiled at their differing tastes and promised to fulfill both requests.

However, their moment was interrupted once more. Looking up, Hikari was certain this was the event he remembered, yet something felt different. "Haibara doesn't have a mission tomorrow, that's odd," he thought.

When Hikari, Geto, and Haibara look up, they see a girl with a striking figure. She's tall and slender, exuding elegance and poise. Her long hair flows down her back, adding to her mysterious allure. Her sharp eyes suggest knowledge and experience in jujutsu. Dressed in traditional attire, she commands attention, radiating strength and confidence. Overall, her appearance reflects her role as a skilled and formidable jujutsu sorcerer.

"Who might you be?" Geto inquires of the woman who approached them, asking about his and Hikari's preferences.

Upon seeing her, Hikari recognizes her, though the others remain oblivious. In response to her question, Haibara promptly chimes in, "I like girls who have a big appetite, you know, the ones who really eat a lot."

"Oh, I'm intrigued by your preference," the woman mused, impressed by Haibara's response." You are Ui Haibara, right! First year." To her questions she replied" yes".

"Haibara!"Here, Geto couldn't believe Haibara's quick response to a question about their preferences from an unknown woman.

"What about you, Geto-kun?" Yuki inquired, but Geto remained silent. Undeterred, she turned her gaze towards Hikari and asked, "And what about you?"

Hikari pondered for a while and responded, "I like to joke around, talk about oh strong women all the time around, but that's not the only girl I like. I like big girls, pretty girls, really witty girls, singing diddy girls. I like leggy girls with nice thighs, I like a good chest no matter what size. I like the belly fold and the six-packs, really tall queens, maybe also the short stacks. From the mild girl to the wild girl, I prefer them all did this make me a bastard!." After

After saying all of this, a sudden realization hit him: would they think of him as a pervert, considering his detailed preferences?

He looked at them to gauge their reaction, but they all stared at him as if they had stumbled upon a new species. Even the birds seemed unusually quiet this time." Say something."

"..." Geto fell into silence, unsure of what to say. He couldn't fathom why his junior would openly discuss his preferences in front of a stranger.

First it was Haibara, but now Hikari. Haibara had merely mentioned his preferences, but Hikari went into detail about his types.

"..... I think I need to go and discuss something with Riko and Sumiko," Haibara declared, feeling the urgency to share Hikari's preferences with them. As friends, they often discussed everything together, and he felt it was the right choice to inform both of them. With that, he hurried off to find Riko and Sumiko, eager to share the news.

Before Hikari could stop him, Haibara dashed off. As he hurried away, Hikari couldn't help but feel a pang of regret, realizing the potential consequences of his candidness.

"..." But only Yuki noticed Hikari's loneliness, realizing that his way of expressing his preferences made it seem like he liked every type of girl.
