The Devil is My Bestfriend
Set in the last few years of the Vietnam was, slightly antisocial and unrelatable Stacie loses her dog to cancer and it sends her into a state of mourning that summons a devil. He is not allowed to leave until she makes a deal with him but she will never do that. She is sassy, blunt, asexual, and has no desire for power or fame. Sometimes your lack of desire can be exactly why you end up where you don't want to be.
