The word "Kidnapped" reverberated in my head, and as the sad news hit my hearing, I collapsed to the ground.

RODRIGO'S POV
I looked at Perlah knocked unconscious on the hospital bed.
"Who will kidnap a baby? Why is this happening to us?" questions flying around my head like a baseball. Hearing a groan, I looked down and noticed Perlah was awake.
"Hey, you are awake, how do you feel?" I asked in concern, touching her forehead.
"My son, your wicked brothers took him, I want my son back," Perlah whispered, dragging me by the collar.
"I don't know Perlah, but we will find him, that I promise you," I slowly replied, looking down sadly.
"Find my son," Perlah murmured again, along with silent tears.
I picked up my phone, and clicked on Antonio's number, giving him a jingle.
"Sir," Antonio's voice sounded at the other end of the call.
"Get to the hospital now, and look after my wife. I'm leaving to get information on who dared kidnap my son," I announced and ended the call.
Staring at Perlah, I held her face and pecked her. Walking out of the hospital to search for information on who kidnapped our son.
I checked the hospital's security camera and spoke to the police officers on patrol on the day of the event, and the gatemen, about who came in that day.
The security camera was wiped off, the police officers claimed to be over swamped that day and couldn't detect anything strange, and the gatemen said there were too many people. They can't possibly identify them all.
Exhausted, I dragged my heavy feet toward Perlah's hospital room without any positive news or leads.
And when I got into the room, my mouth dropped open and my eyes got teary in unwarranted shock.
"Where's Perlah?"
Trembling, I picked up my phone to quickly dial Antonio's number.
"Where's my wife?" I yelled over the phone.
"Your wife? She's in the hospital resting sir," Antonio quietly replied at the other end of the call.
"So, do you suggest I'm blind? Because I can't find my wife in this room. You had better get here quickly and find my wife. I bluntly asked you to stay here and watch over her. If I don't find her, you are dead," I screamed aggressively, ending the call.
In a panic, Antonio rushed in breathing heavily.
"Sir, she was just here, sleeping peacefully. I had to deal with something, so I couldn't stay," Antonio hurriedly protested, sweat dripping down his forehead.
"You couldn't stay? Antonio, I give you 24 hours to find my wife," I yelled out, slamming my fist on the bedside table.
"My wife and my son," I murmured, sitting on the ground.

PERLAH'S POV
I slowly adjusted my eyes to the bright light in the room. Looking around, I was on a soft bed in a comfortable room, unlike the hospital.
"If I'm not in the hospital, where am I?" I whispered, looking around.
Promptly, I rushed towards the door to leave, but it was locked.
"Was I kidnapped also?" I thought to myself, my chest banging inside me.
Hearing a click on the door, I moved back in an attempt to protect myself.
The unknown person twisted the door knob and walked in.
"Antonio? What are you doing here? Quickly, let's leave before the kidnappers get back. Did you check if my son is here also?" I asked, dragging Antonio in.
"Perlah, your son is not here," Antonio replied, walking towards the bed.
"Oh, so it's no longer Ma. You are calling me by my first name. Antonio who brought me here?" I calmly asked, staring at him.
"I have always loved you, Perlah, from the moment I saw you. I decided to give up on my boss when I realized you were pregnant. But now that your son is gone, I will fight for what I want." Antonio replied, expressionless.
"Did you drink or smoke something before coming here?" I looked at Antonio and couldn't help but ask.
"Fight for what? What's wrong with you, Antonio? So are you responsible for me being here? If Rodrigo finds out about this, you know what he will do to you. Did you kidnap my son too?" I yelled out, facing Antonio.
"I didn't Kidnap your son Perlah, and I don't care about him either," Antonio replied and walked out of the room and shut the door.
Running towards the door, I slammed my fist on the locked door, banging loudly on it.
"Let me out of here, Antonio!" I screamed in frustration.

ANTONIO'S POV.
"Why won't you let me love you, Perlah? Is it bad to fight for what I want?" I whispered, gazing at the door to the room Perlah was locked in.
Hearing my phone ring, I reached out to it in my back pocket. Seeing it was my boss, I adjusted my voice to avoid the risk of being suspected.
"Hi sir," I said into the phone.
"Any news about my wife and my son?" Rodrigo coldly asked.
"No sir, I have searched through the whole city, there's no sign of them. Those kidnappers are good at covering their tracks. I'd advise you to stay low for now. Your life is still at risk," I warmly replied, avoiding giving my boss any hint.
"Are you out of your mind? What do you mean by staying low? Get here immediately, so we can come up with a plan," Rodrigo said, and hung up.
I puffed out a sigh of relief, looking towards the door to the room Perlah was in.
"You will be fine, Perlah. I will never hurt you. I love you so much," I murmured, then heard my phone ringing again. My heart began beating fast, wondering if it was Rodrigo calling again, but it wasn't. Instead, it was an unknown number.
"Hello," I said, picking up the call.
"I took a picture of you kidnapping our boss's wife. I will give you 24 hours and I will show it to the boss. Don't joke with me, if the boss finds out, you are dead," the unknown person sounded at the other end of the call.
"What do you want?" I asked, my voice automatically getting husky in fear.
"Money, a lot of money."
