Chapter 16 - Chapter Sixteen

ANTONIO'S POV

"I won't let him destroy me," I murmured, determined to kill him. It's the only way to shut him up forever.

Picking up my phone, I quickly dialed him up to lure the bastard out.

"We need to meet, I will bring the money in cash," I said over the phone.

"Ha-ha, you think I'm stupid? Make a damn transfer boy," he replied, bluntly.

"But I can't. I have to get the money in cash, the amount would be suspicious in banks. Are you in any way trying to get me arrested? Look, do you want the money or not?" I yelled out.

"Don't you dare yell while talking to me? I make the rules, remember? I have your secret boy. So do whatever I say, or I will paint it on the sky for everyone to see," he yelled back.

"Alright, I will send you the address. Come alone. If you try anything stupid, I will bite your ass out," he replied and hung up.

I pulled my hair up in frustration. Hearing a beep coming from my phone, I realized the address had been sent.

"This is it; I just need to do this and I and Perlah will live happily ever after," I said, encouraging myself.

I got to the location sent on my phone, the lonely place looked lifeless. I felt like I had fallen into a trap myself.

"God damn it! Where the hell is he?" I grinned angrily.

My phone started ringing, reaching out for it in my back pocket. I immediately picked up the call.

"Drop the money and leave," His voice sounded at the other end of the call.

"What! No, I have to give it to you in person, so you can destroy the pictures in front of me, or you won't be getting this money," I insisted.

Without a response, he hung up the call.

I stood there waiting for a while when I sighted a young man walking out of the shadow.

"The money," he blurted out with a husky voice.

"I need to see the pictures first. Throw them to me," I suggested, trailing his every move.

"You really think I'm stupid? I can't throw the damn pictures to you without the money," he replied and giggled.

"Well, I need to see those damn pictures before I give you a penny. If you think I will take off immediately you throw the pictures, then come show them to me to clarify that you indeed have them," I insisted, not ready to bulge.

"I didn't bring the real pictures for safety, but I will show you a picture of them on my mobile phone. No matter what you do, that picture is in a safe place that only I can destroy," he stated, walking towards me with the picture displayed on his phone.

When he was close enough for a good view of the pictures, he lowered his head. Grasping the opportunity I had been waiting for, I took out the syringe I hid in my back pocket and hurriedly stabbed him with it, emptying the barrel.

"What did you do?" He yelled out.

"Give you a dose of sleeping drugs, it is so effective, so you will be down in seconds, and it lasts for hours," I replied, watching as he slumped to the ground.

Sizes of butcher knives were neatly arranged on a table. I looked at the weird-looking man as he sat lifeless on the electric chair, patiently waiting for the effect of the dose to slacken off.

He gently opened his eyes, furiously moving his body in fear.

"Don't worry, you are in a place where no one can hear you," I replied, grinning.

"Where did you hide the pictures?" I asked, expressionless.

"I won't tell you even if you are going to kill me," he answered, determined.

"Okay," I replied, cutting off his toes. He screamed out in pain, trembling.

"You see, I don't have time to waste, I have to get back to my boss soon to avoid suspicious events. If you don't answer me now, I will cut off your ten fingers. I ask again; where did you hide those fucking pictures," I yelled out, feeling irritated and grumpy.

"Go to hell," he muttered.

"You go first," I whispered, cutting off his fingers and ears, his cries and pleas echoed repeatedly in the empty room.

"If you don't tell me where those pictures are, then you need to die, so I will no longer be threatened. Forgive me, all I want is a happy ever after," I coldly declared. Walking towards the electrocution machine, I turned it on and increased it to the highest. Without renouncing, I picked up a butcher knife and stabbed it into his chest, plucking his heart out. Feeling his heart beating on my palms. He let out a terrifying bawl and died in the electric chair.

Assured he was dead, I rapped him up with tape, covered him with clothes, and disposed of him in the closest garbage pail.

RODRIGO'S POV

I sat lifeless in a corner of my room.

"I miss you so much Perlah. I feel empty without you Perlah," I muttered, feeling exasperated.

Hearing my phone ringing, I stood up and walked over to pick it up on the bedside table.

"Hello," I said over the phone.

"Sir Rodrigo, the man who sent a message to you claiming he had information about your wife was found dead this morning. His toes, fingers, and ears were absent, and his heart was brutally plucked out. I doubt the killer is human. The police are already on this case," the agent sounded at the other end of the call.

"If he was killed because of that piece of information, then what he knew was legit. He was killed, so he wouldn't get to me. Did you trace the killer?" I asked immediately, feeling enraged and grumpy.

"No sir, he professionally covered his tracks. But we hacked into his cell phone and saw a credit of 100 million dollars," the agent announced.

"Antonio." I blurted out, anger boiling inside me. I felt used.

"Sir," he asked, confused.

"Get me, Antonio, before the police get to him, he has to answer to me first; I won't let him go to jail that easily."
