Chapter 21 - Don't Underestimate Arwan

Arwan walked around the second floor in search of the security room, moving with delicate steps. He knew he was being monitored from the active cameras in the hallway. Reaching a door, he exhaled before bringing out some balls from his tool bag.

"The door isn't locked," Arwan thought. "Tch. Why do all these bastards underestimate me?!"

He took out the access card he had gotten from the guard earlier and used it to open the door.

The door hadn't completely slid open when those inside began shooting towards it.

Arwan hid himself immediately. He then heard them approaching the door, prompting him to throw one of the balls inside.

The two individuals inside took some steps back, wary of the unknown object thrown in the room.

Seeing their retreat, Arwan smiled. "Gotcha!" He jumped out, revealing himself to those inside.

He saw the pleasing distance he had created and threw the remaining balls in his hand into the room.

The individuals in the security room finally recognized the balls for what they were: small bombs. Acting on instinct, they jumped to avoid them, but it was too late to notice that their reaction wasn't for this type of bullet.

One of the bombs sparked. Following that, it released a wave of electricity, conducted by the other bombs, creating a net of electricity with the individuals in the middle.

Immediately after the electricity died down, another bomb exploded, creating another electric net.

The process repeated until all the bombs had exploded, releasing their electric currents.

Arwan waited for the electric currents to die down. He had manually controlled the electric bombs from his wrist comm. Without his timing and proper throwing of the bombs, it could have given the individuals a short moment to retaliate.

Arwan stared at them in annoyance. The two he had just faced were paralyzed, their clothes burnt to reveal the bodysuits underneath, their hair standing sharply, and their bodies releasing a bit of smoke.

Arwan walked towards them and touched them with a stick he had, pushing them both to the floor.

"That's what you get when you're blinded by your greed and try to capture the weakest," Arwan said.

These two individuals had been watching everything unfold from the surveillance monitors. They had believed they would capture the breakouts without fail the moment the freshly captured duo abandoned X-0 and didn't try to escape for the facility immediately.

With that line of thought, they had wanted to capture the weakest of the breakouts in hopes of being rewarded handsomely by their bosses later.

Arwan had expected that line of thought from greedy criminals and used it to his advantage.

Satisfied, He spat, "You guys are cheap. Tsk! Damage of this level taking you down. You should have last longer, I had more in store for you! That's to show that you shouldn't underestimate Arwan."

Since he was done with that part, Arwan sighed letting out all the nervousness he tried so hard not to show. He thought back to earlier and muttered, "That guy's hunch was right... A truly bizarre ability!"

Getting that behind him, Arwan locked the door to the security room and took the view of the room in.

There was no light source except for the multiple screens that showcased the whole base from different views.

Arwan was left in awe for a while, but he knew people were counting on him, so he moved immediately, towards one of the seats in front of the screen.

His primary job here was to firstly find proof of the experiments being carried out and the location of this facility so he could send it to the enforcers for them to come and clean this facility. The second primary job was to release the inmates below. Every other thing he had in mind was a secondary goal.

He sat in front of the screens and began hacking into the encrypted databases. For someone like Arwan who spent most of his childhood on technological-related activities, this would just be a time-consuming process that'd definitely yield successful results.

 *****

The top floor of the facility was where the heads of this facility carried out activities like meetings, the regular recaps and so on.

On a normal day, this floor was mainly guided and managed by Five and some other guards. With the recent occurrences, there was no one managing this floor.

There were many ways to enter and leave this facility but without those from the security room creating access to those entries and exits, there's just one way to enter and leave.

Femi sat with a relaxed face on the reception counter, looking at the only elevator that granted entry to this facility.

Femi waited for the Syncro Trio to come out of the elevator doors so he could engage them in a battle. Before his patience ran thin, Femi smiled as he heard a ring signifying the arrival of people.

Femi didn't allow them to identify who was waiting for them as he said, "For people who are here to handle an urgent situation, you guys took your sweet time."

He had his mask strapped to his pants, so it was easy for the Scnycro Trio to know who it was.

They were all speechless. The duo they had captured really broke out. How? That was what all their minds were trying to figure out.

"Femi, why don't you just go back to your cell?" Eva asked with a persuading smile. "Don't be a bitch and do like you're told to."

Fem kept smiling uncontrollably which made Eva really mad. He scratched his head with one hand and tilted his head. "I don't want to though," Femi said.

Gallagher and Ruth were still speechless, the former was looking with gloomy and worried eyes while the latter was looking confused and scared. Eva, on the other hand, was raging, aching to rip Femi's hands from his body.

Femi got down from the counter and dusted his body. He saw the trio watch him and pointed his sword at them. "Are you wondering what I want to do? Well, I want to fight the three of you. Come at me," He declared.

Gallagher held back Eva who was about to immediately launch an attack. He sighed as he took a step closer to Femi, "Femi, kid, you don't have to go through the hard way. I guarantee you that through the experiments you'd come out successful and more powerful. That's what you want right?"

Femi also sighed. He unsheathed his sword, Negraazul. He smiled deviously, "No. I already said it, didn't I? I. Want. To. Fight. You."

Having finished his statement, Eva immediately threw a dagger, aiming for Femi.
