"Is that even possible?" John asked, surprised.
"If you asked me this a couple of hours ago, I would have said no, however here we are now, and Tia confirmed this herself."
"As for if the sync rate will improve even more or even how far it will improve only time and testing will tell us so I will need to run regular tests on the MK 0 after your sessions in Genesis."
John nodded before asking.
"So, this is kind of rude but where am I staying?"
"What they didn't even tell you before they brought you over here haha." Thasinia started to laugh.
(Weren't you the one who was in a hurry for me to get over here in the first place?) John thought but decided it best not to mention this.
"Come on, I will show you where you will be staying from now on." Thasinia said before handing John back the MK 0 where he put it on his wrist before following Thasinia out of the medical room."
As they walked along the corridor John once again marveled at the beauty yet simplicity of the palace before he thought of something.
"Where did Elmyra go?"
"Her? oh she got bored after a while and went off somewhere, she will turn up again eventually she always does when she is bored and looking for something fun."
John nodded before asking his next question.
"Why is the palace so empty? I expected to see a lot of elves going around doing things."
"The palace is off limits to all except those who live and work here or have an appointment normally to see my sister."
"So why have I not seen any servants? Don't palace's normally have them."
Thasinia turned her head to give John a look before answering.
"We elves don't like the idea of servants, we believe that every individual is as important as the last, even the queen."
"Don't get me wrong there are some elves in our society that believe they are superior to others, and I'm sure if given the chance they may even want to take servants or slaves."
"However, ever since our founding mother Elmyra denounced the idea of servants or slaves they have never existed in our society."
"Any elves you see around the castle that have silver white hair like mine are of the royal family, or loosely related to it."
"Any you see with hair of another color are employees who have different jobs here in the castle."
"As for why you are yet to see these employees, it's because they only show up around the castle at specific times."
"The cleaners get all their work done usually when the royal family is asleep, even though we have told them time and again they can work normal hours like everyone else in Asyath Serin they insist on cleaning at night so as not to be in our way." Thasinia sighed before continuing.
"As for the other staff, well the cooks stay in the kitchen most of the time and only really show themselves when they bring out our meals to eat."
"The gardeners you might see sometimes but since we are up in a tree, they don't really have much to do except sort out the plants around the palace."
"The only non-royal family member you may run into fairly often is Saida Yinphine, she is my sister's advisor and assistant, she is normally with my sister however I guess she had other business when Tanelia came to meet you."
"I see, thank you for explaining." John said.
"No problem and here we are, this is your room." Thasinia said before opening a wooden door and entering as John followed.
As he entered John was surprised to see how large and nice the room was.
"I can't stay here, it's bigger than my shack." John gasped in surprise and indeed he was right.
"The room was over three times as large as his wooden shack back in Dawnscape City and that was just this room.
They entered what was obviously a living room of sorts, there was a pair of large sofas along with a reclining chair that all pointed towards the large window that stretched along one of the wooden walls.
Along another wall was what was unmistakably a bar that had plenty of glasses and seemed to be stocked with drinks.
There was a table along a third wall with several seats around it.
Around the room there were several doors that led to other rooms.
"Don't be silly your our guest here, besides this is honestly only a medium sized room, you should see mine it's way bigger." Thasinia said with a chuckle before pointing things out.
"There is a bar there of course so help yourself and if you get low just tell one of us and we will have it refilled for you, the same with the food that's already in the fridge in the mini kitchen over there if you get hungry." Thasinia said, pointing first at the bar and then at one of the doors.
"A kitchen?" John asked, surprised.
"Yup, that door there leads to your bedroom that also has an ensuite bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet, sink and all the normal things."
"That's normal?" John mumbled.
"This room is the main toilet that any guest can use."
"Over there you can watch the holo on the sofa, oh the holo is that small device in the ceiling, just say the name of the channel like in the medical lab and a big widescreen projection will show up over the window."
"Speaking off the window." Thasinia said as she went over to it and opened a sliding door that led out onto a balcony that overlooked part of the city of Asyath Serin.
"Nice View, right?" Thasinia asked with a grin as she saw the continual increasing shock appearing on John's face.
At this point John had no words, he had never lived in such luxury before, even before his parents died and they lived in their old house. It was just a normal two-bedroom house, the fanciest thing about it was that it had a back garden.
John staggered over to one of the sofas and collapsed onto it before giving a little chuckle and saying.
"How did I end up here?"
